Merged: Bench Frerotte / Start Sage

I have reached the point where every time i see Frerotte run on to the field i am as sick as i was when seeing Fiedler run on to the field.............The guy is just terrible
 
Gus is killing us. He couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat....
 
You know what I love about this thread? It's that everyone is assuming there's a good, or right, decision. But there isn't!! We don't even have a legitimate starting QB on the roster. It doesn't matter who we start at QB, we're going to get bottom-of-the-league play from the position. It's all a moot point if you ask me about who starts at QB.

As far as playcalling, that can absolutely be improved and needs to be looked at. I thought after combining for 40 carries last game that Linehan had figured it out. Apparently not. We should be running the ball 40 times EVERY GAME. Period. I don't care what the score is. You think the Steelers care what the score is when they run the ball like 80 times? Sometimes they're just averaging like 3 yards a carry, but they keep shoving it down people's throats. We need to do that, because that's what our personnel dictates.

As horrible as this sounds, I just hope we keep losing and get the first or second pick in the draft and get Leinart. I mean seriously, let's look to the future, because that's where we'll do our damage. Can you imagine how good this team would be with Leinart at QB?

San Fran doesn't even have a qb or much of an OL and they have only one less win than the Fins... We need to do something in the off season to address the WR and QB position. That along with our secondary and we could be back to a 500 ++ team... Fer--ROT is aweful. Absolutely aweful!!!!!
 
Gus Stinks

Enough is enough! Put Sage in. Miami is going nowhere, put Sage in!
 
I agree that Gus absolutely sucks and caused us another loss. I really hate that guy and get extremely nervous whenever I see him passing. I really think Fiedler was better than him and maybe even Feely. Also, Linehan needs to go elsewhere if he wants to continue running a mere 20 times with two great running backs. Peice of crap!!! Putting Sage in may give us hope, but I stongly believe that the guy isn't gonna be much better if not worse than Gus. I mean, come on...he was third string to Feidler and Feely and is now a backup to Gus Frerotte. Let's not hold our breath. I do think we should see what he's got early in a game, but bringing him in late in a game to make some sort of Dan Marino comeback is highly unlikely.
 
Tipped Passes

I don't know about you guy's but I can't take any more tipped passes.....
Why does Gus get so many passes tipped at the line of scrimmage?
Can he not move around a little in the pocket and find a dam lane to pass the ball through...the guy absolutely sucks. Please let anyone else play qb at this point!!!! Sorry....just a real frustrated fan at this point!!!!

i bet you hated fiedler, then feely, now gus...face it kid, marino aint walking threw those doors (ricky patino)...if we get rivers, you'll posta i hate rivers thread as soon as he throws his first incomplete in mini-camp..pathetic..
 
Gus Forgot has no business throwing 15+X's

If we want to win Gus Forgot (how to throw a football) should not throw more than 15+Xs in a game. Why oh why did he throw the ball on that last drive for an interception. I wanted to kill him. You have an elite backfield that could have tied the game up. But what do I know
