Over on Billszone they think Losman did good. :nono:

Considering the circumstances...he was pretty good. We're barely a week into our camp.

Scrimmages mean nothing. They're more vanilla than preseason games.

Losman looked like a 1st year starter. The Bills defense did look great though. If I were a Bills fan i'd be worried about the back RB position, a report from Vic Carucci I heard today stated that Shaud Williams will probably be Buffalo's backup RB.

JP actually had a very good scrimmage--either you guys are blind or you guys don't know what you're talking about. Get ready to bend over and be spanked, just like the Bills (all 1st, 2nd and 3rd teamers) spanked the heck out of the Packers in Lambeau tonight. In all honesty, we must have had over 10 "sacks" this evening--even the Packers announcers were saying how badly we owned GB....

Yea, JP's eratic throws were really really good. I also liked how he got "happy feet" sometimes. I mean...yea if those make a good scrimmage, than he had one of the best in a long long time.

The Bills defense looked good, and they were at the Qb all day, but I think you've got to consider that Gb's offensive line is terrible.

Are you a complete Miami homer or what? The guy was 6 for 11, no picks, and led the team down the field completing key throws. Ran once for about 6 yards (should have run it into an open end zone, but overthrew a covered receiver so there's some room for improvement). No big mistakes (the bad snap looked like Teague's fault) and looked confident moving the offense. I'd take him over Feeley or Frerotte any day of the week. If not him, Holcomb or Matthews, who each just mandhandled the Pack D when it was their turn. We murtalized GB tonight on all sides of the ball, other than maybe the red zone drill on D, no doubt about it, as even the Packers announcers attested to. My original quote wasn't a misprint--we had double digit sacks versus about 2 for GB against our "suspect" offensive line. KGB's name wasn't called until late in the scrimmage, as one of their announcers noted, even though he was playing against our journeyman left tackle Gandy.

Boy you guys are so arrogant, I absolutely can't wait until we play you this season! Look up some of my old posts from the spring of 2004, when I told you unbelievers that "you were closer to the cliff than you thought" in 2004--boy was I right. Well, guess what, fellas, 2005 ain't gonna be that different in Miami....

Bills D looked good.

But JP looked pedestrian. I watched the whole thing, and to say he "had a very good scrimmage" is a little biased.

No, but are you a freaking bills homer or what? I know it is the first week of training camp, and I dont expect him to look good, but in no way was that a VERY GOOD scrimmage. There is no way that many mental errors can lead to a very good scrimmage. Your defense sure as hell was amazing, but JP looked pedestrian. I would expect less mental mistakes from a second year player.

This statement right here absolutely epitomizes the phrase "Hello kettle, I'm the pot, you are black."

You might be right about my adding the word "very" there--I'll stand by the fact that he had a "good" scrimmage, especially for someone who's had little experience starting inthe League. Very good might be overstating it.

BTW, here's my post from July 17, 2004 I was referencing earlier

"I have a hunch it's the Phins who are going to be getting reacquainted with losing (which admittedly hasn't happened much in South Florida)--an aging defense that may be missing another one of its best players for more than half the season, a makework O-line with unproven talent that's 80% reworked (Jeno James equals one good year, St. Clair, the human turnstyle, a rookie at one tackle and a second year guy at the other, McIntosh's injury, and the list goes on and on), and no one really jumping out to play QB (I read something on ESPN or CNNSI this week saying that Rosefels looked the best in your last minicamp). You may have the receivers and Ricky, but without the O-line and the QB to get them the ball, watch out. You guys are closer to the cliff than you think...."

I come here because I like talking football with intelligent fans of any stripe (and sometime, like last year's Ricky bizarro world experience, I actually just feel bad for you guys), but out of all the boards I visit, I must admit, this one has the most homers of any I've seen. Maybe it's just the Bills-Fins rivalry, but still.

the Bills Defense and McGahee are gonna carry the team this year to about 6-8 wins. Losman will have a tough rookie year and I honestly dont think the WR's will help him out at all.

Which mental mistakes were those, other than not running in when he had the chance? That's about all I counted--as even the GB announcers said, the blown snap was probably the center's fault, not his. Other than that, and one bad throw that might have been picked, a couple of incompletes was about the size of his "mental mistakes." At least he didn't throw to the other side for a quick 6, which seemed to be the forte of one of your QBs last year who, if i recall correctly, had a heck of a lot more NFL experience than young Mr. Losman.

You bills fans get so hot-headed when a Dolphins fan says something even remotely negative about your players on a Dolphins forum...

Seems like I have to put one of you on ignore every week. I just added that guy with the fat mr. heat mizer guy for an avatar.

The fact is, Losman did make mistakes. All in all, he didn't look completely horrible, but it was a scrimmage (He knows he can't be hit) against a team that's had only a week to work on a completely new offensive scheme.

Edit: And I thought I heard the announcers say the snap was Losman's fault?
