Well.. At least he's better than Volek and Holcomb (some of the other options I've heard mentioned here.)

Eagles fans aren't exactly happy about this trade, they like this kid.

I agree man. I think people are jumping to conclusions here. This deal cannot go down until March 4th at the earliest. So there is alot left to be explained.....like draft compensation (which I believe will involve CONDITIONAL picks).
Plus, this does not mean we are finished with QBs by any stretch of the imagination. If all goes well, we'll be losing TWO QBs. Signing Feeley could signal a competition between he and Sage for the starter's job, and a rookie sitting behind them.
Isn't that what most people have wanted?? A chance for Sage to show his wares??
Finally, Feeley's numbers look a whole lot better than Jake Delhomme's before he became Carolina's starter. So where you sit on the bench doesn't mean you can't be successful elsewhere.
I'm calling for :calm: here. Lets see where this thing goes and what moves follow it. Lets see how Feeley does before we condemn him. This isn't the end by any stretch. Hell, we haven't even begun yet. :)

Why does it seem like every QB whose not a hot shot prospect coming up the draft ranks gets compared to Jay Fiedler???
Under that logic, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Jake Delhollme and Trent Green are Fiedler's equals too..

If we want a QB with a good record, we could just hang onto Fiedler.
I can only hope that Feeley is being brought in as a backup, but somehow, I think they're going to pass this off as "we're bringing in a couple young, hungry guys into camp to compete for the job and that will be good!"
This is NOT what I had in mind for a QB change. :fire:
