He's better then Ramsey.

Eagles fans aren't exactly happy about this trade, they like this kid.

Yeah, and as long as McNabb is there, what were they expecting??

I agree man. I think people are jumping to conclusions here. This deal cannot go down until March 4th at the earliest. So there is alot left to be explained.....like draft compensation (which I believe will involve CONDITIONAL picks).

Plus, this does not mean we are finished with QBs by any stretch of the imagination. If all goes well, we'll be losing TWO QBs. Signing Feeley could signal a competition between he and Sage for the starter's job, and a rookie sitting behind them.

Isn't that what most people have wanted?? A chance for Sage to show his wares??

Finally, Feeley's numbers look a whole lot better than Jake Delhomme's before he became Carolina's starter. So where you sit on the bench doesn't mean you can't be successful elsewhere.

I'm calling for :calm: here. Lets see where this thing goes and what moves follow it. Lets see how Feeley does before we condemn him. This isn't the end by any stretch. Hell, we haven't even begun yet. :)

Also, not to be forgotten is who he mentored under.. It's not like the guy was backing up some garbage picker.. He's learned alot under McNabb, and Dolphin fans may be pleasantly surprised by what he brings to the table..

The Delhollme comparisons are both accurate and good.

i live in the philly area and have listend to all the BS about him and watched his games last year when mcnabb was hurt. he didn't do anything special to win those games. he just didn't lose them. people here were asking for him to be the starter at the beginning of the season when donavan was struggling. they liked him, but i think it had a lot to do with the whole underdog thing.

i dont like the smell of this...sorry optimists (sp)

Why does it seem like every QB whose not a hot shot prospect coming up the draft ranks gets compared to Jay Fiedler???

Under that logic, Brett Favre, Tom Brady, Jake Delhollme and Trent Green are Fiedler's equals too..

As long as this spells the end of Fiedler's starting job ... I am okay with it ... I like Jay but he isnt the QB for this offense.

Plus ... I dont think this is the end of the QB Situation.

 If you're refering to my post, i was just comparing the similarities in their names.

Even if it is as a #2 that makes no sense at all. Sage is the 2, unless we don't like him at all in which we would have cut him I'd think.

No, this is a move to fill the starting job and it sucks.

BTW, anyone that said it doesn't matter that Wanny and Spielman stayed, have just learned why it does.

If we want a QB with a good record, we could just hang onto Fiedler.

I can only hope that Feeley is being brought in as a backup, but somehow, I think they're going to pass this off as "we're bringing in a couple young, hungry guys into camp to compete for the job and that will be good!"

This is NOT what I had in mind for a QB change. :fire:

I wanna QB that can win big games. Also, it's not what i had in mind for a change either. IMO, if this is only a move for a backup, then why trade anything ? Hell, just sign anybody that's a UFA.

I trust Speilman is making the right choice. Now if Wanny was making this decision i'd be worried. I think Speilman knows we have A LOT of needs to take care of and a QB has to have more talent around him than we do. We have Ricky, Chambers, and McMichael but nothing else. We have no stud lineman or a good number 2 reciever to help take double teams off of Chambers.
