So this is what we have this offseason so far:

1. Coach (the same)
2. Front Office (the same)
3. QB (The Same)

And this adds up to a different result because . . . ah we want it to?

I'm not sure that we'll get Henson too as we already are gonna send a pick on next years draft to Philly and we'd need to send another to the Texans to get Henson. I hope we're not done just like everyone else here but everything's starting to look like the same old sh1t to me.

Ozzy rules!!

some of you people are jumping to conclusions WAY to fast. They will still persue Henson. They showed to much interest in him. Besides, i'm sure they aren't planning on giving Henson the start next year even if they do get him. And they didn't want to be stuck with Feidler again, because they new all the fans, like you guys, would jump to conclusions and go nuts. What would you suggest they do? Let's see what other moves they make before we start sending death threats to Dave and Rick's email........

This is actually quite amusing.

Here is a scout's take on Feeley before the 2001 NFL Draft:

ADAM JOSHUA "A.J." FEELEY

#7-ADAM JOSHUA "A.J." FEELEY University of Oregon Ducks 6:03.1-217

ANALYSIS
Positives... Well-proportioned athlete who knows how to manage an offense... Has a very quick set-up, moving away from the center fluidly...Displays a high release point and even though he's more comfortable in the pocket, he shows good improvisation skills on the move...Touch passer with a good understanding of defensive coverage...has good poise in the pocket, rarely forcing his throws...Shows solid timing and consistency on slants and fades, feathering the ball past the defenders so his receivers do not have to work to make the catch...Can vary the speed on his passes and will step up and make the completion when his pocket collapses...Scans the field quickly to spot his open target and has the body control to make defenders miss when on the move.

Negatives... Does not have the arm strength or consistency to throw deep (note-player has just now fully recovered from a right elbow injury suffered in 1999 that affected his velocity)...His loss of velocity causes his balls to flutter and die when throwing from the opposite hash mark...Does not seem to throw across the body effectively, tending to go to a side-arm release on his deep throws...While he stands tall in the pocket, he does not have the lateral agility to escape when flushed out of the pocket or the quickness to gain much yardage past the line of scrimmage.

CAREER NOTES
Unheralded athlete who gave the Ducks one of the best reserve quarter-backs in the nation last year...A former starter in 1999, many scouts feel that he will be a major steal on draft day for a team....In 22 games at Oregon, he completed 149 of 282 passes (52.8%) for 2175 yards, 15 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

GAZING INTO THE CRYSTAL BALL... Don't look for Feeley to be drafted until much later in the draft, if at all, but he has that attitude and athletic ability that could make some general manager look very smart down the road once he gets proper tutelage. The Raiders and Packers have shown keen interest in Feeley lately and he could be a nice reclamation project for either team, as both are known for their patience with quarterbacks.

I wouldn't mind seeing him start. It certainly couldn't be any worse than four years of mediocrity. If he starts and he sucks we get a good draft pick. If he starts and he above average we got what we were looking for.

Either way it's fine by me. Just show Fiedler the door.

It is almost as if Wanny and Spielman just don't seem to get it. They still think we just need a mediocre QB that doesn't turn the ball over and we'll win with defense and special teams.

That only works with the Baltimore defense. Everyone else needs a QB with the ability to make big plays when you need them and an arm to threaten the field.

Jake Delhomme isn't great, but he could threaten the field and make big plays when his team needed it.

We need that guy and it looks like we are going to try and do it with the C list and we are going to mortgage our future draft picks to do it. Unbelievable.

Do you think AJ Feeley is going to be the QB that draws top flight WRs to us because they want to play with him? You think we are still on the Owens list? DO you think Feeley is the guy our defensive players are going to get excited about and think that the team has been turned around.

Well, here's to another year of close games and prayers that Mare can kick it straight.

Calm down everyone. I was talking a few weeks ago with some football nut from Philadelphia, and he mentioned that he hoped Miami would pick up Feeley because Miami was his second best team and this guy is a great prospect for starting qb..I never heard of him before that, so I find it interesting that Miami ends up getting him. This guy really seemed to know his Philadelphia football team, so I am pleasantly surprised that we will have him. We'll see...but at least it is new blood/

So we're sending a pick for Feely and you say will send another one for Henson? Are we gonna have a draft next year at all? I hope you're right but I think Wanny-Spill are so desperate that they're doing this way too fast.Like I said before, is all looking like the same old Dolphins to me.

***Signing A.J. Feeley Could Be A Blessing***

I have read through all the posts on this potential signing and let me offer this...

Trading for A.J. Feeley may be the best thing the Dolphins do. First, it may mean the end Jay Fiedler's stay with the Dolphins. It may also mean the end of Brian Griese's stay with the Dolphins. If they do release both players, it will clear over $10 million in salary cap money! $10 million!

Sure A.J. Feeley is not a considerable upgrade to Fiedler, but I think the team is going to do these things as well:

Re-sign Adewale Ogunleye
Re-structure Sam Madison's contract
Re-structure Zack Thomas' contract
Release James McKnight and his $2+ million dollar hit again the cap

and maybe, just maybe put a real effort to sign Terrell Owens.

Now just think, keeping our defense intact is probably a wise thing to do. Getting rid of two overpaid QBs that don't produce is even wiser. Lastly, signing a Top 5 WR is the best damn thing they can do to sell restore confidence and sell tickets.

I am optimistic, maybe crazy, but let's just wait and see what happens. What else do we got to lose.

Argh. I dont even like this guy as a backup. He cant throw the ball more than 15 yards.

good move

this is not a bad move at all as long as its no more than a 3rd. Everyone is complaining, but no one wants another year of Jay. Hopefully we will still get Henson or Rivers, or even Ray. Atleast the FO is doing something, and not just keeping the same team and missing the playoffs again.

I sure hope that we don't get TO. That jerk can go to hell as far as I care. He's a F*&^$*_(&$# jerk!!
