The thing the Chiefs fans don't realize is that the not many QBs will actively challenge Surtain. The problem they're going to have is that unlike us, they don't have a Sam Madison opposite him. They better have a decent #2 come opening day, or he's gonna get abused.

No we don't, but we have Eric Drunkfield, and he had a very solid year last year, he just needs to stay off the sauce

Good news but why did we swap 5th round picks? So much for sticking to our guns!

They get 138, we get 162 (so says the Sun-Sentinel). Wish we would have gotten their higher pick in that round (#147, I believe).

It was a compromise. But, I think Saban recognizes the need to have a 2nd round pick was critical. We still get a 5th round pick. Those are hit or miss anyway.

lol.. Nothing personal L.T. Just business. We had to do what we had to do.
It's amazing how much having the second pick can change everything now. We can ship it off for Edge or Alexander and get Edwards with our #2 over all. Teams now know we're not desperate to trade down and that we CAN take Edwards, so Washington and Minnesota may step up their talks with us about trading up. Or we can sit pat with what we have and still get a couple of good picks in the first and second rounds and keep on tract with Nick's plan. Great job Nick. A rookie coach/GM went face to face with a veteran personnel guy and didn't blink. I have wanted Nick as our coach for two years and this is why. Ya think he called up Speilman and said see son, that's how you make a trade!?!?

Yeah I know...I just hate the fact that he's in the AFC W. As Ive said a million times on here, you guys need to stand pat and get at least a second round for Pat..I personally think he's worth a first, so you see where my respect for him is at. ARGHHH!! I would say you're crazy. He IS worth a 1st you guys got a discount because of stupid moves by our former idiotic regime trading away all of our picks and killing our cap.
