Thank god we didn't get Shanny like I wanted to. I only wanted him for our offensive line but geez this was a horrible draft day by Denver.

This kid is ALREADY SPECIAL....a lot of people made a mistake with this guy. Denver just got a back - Shanahan obviously knows running back talent.
 
this could work to our benefit and here is how . we trade thompson and gillmore for tatum bell then we cut minor and we use a two rb set to have a talented rb corp in case of injury or whatnot. i may have to give it up too myself here.

For that we would've just needed Alex Gibbs. But we got Houck this year so it should be about the same.
 
Considering Denver produces RB's every damn year, it's not a crazy pick. They don't have a 4th or 5th round selection, so maybe they thought he'd be gone by the time Denver drafts in the 6th round. I could see, as another posted, Maurice run for x amount of yards(1500 yards+ in 2 or 3 years) & some team comes along before his contract is up & trades for him. Maurice is one lucky mofo for going to Denver. If there was any team he could wish for, it be denver. Now if Clarett busts in Denver, IMO he's done. If he cannot make it there, he cannot make it in the NFL.

Whatever dude, get a clue. He addressed the position thats been killing them the last 2 seasons and thats CB in the draft and DE and DT in the offseason. Explains how drafting a RB is going to run him out of denver please.

Even if he does great, Clarett got picked about 4 rounds too early. They could have taken a "gamble" with picking him TWO ROUNDS LATER!
