I'm not sure what ignites the equality fire, but I do know if you question the equality issue, you get a thread like this one. Then ppl wonder why minorities cry race..look at this thread, and it has nothing to do with race, the issue has to do with procedure.
I agree completely.thewicked1isher said:WTF? This is getting out of hand. We're about to have a race war here on FINHEAVEN. I think that as long as people refer to themselves as African-Americans or European-Americans, or Mexican-Americans or whatever other terms they want to use it will continue to create cracks in the foundations of our society. I am 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Ukranian. Does that make me an Italian-Ukranian-American? No! I have never been to either country. I am an American! Color of skin should not matter, African-American, please! How many people who call themselves that have ever been to Africa? You are American! Enjoy being American, there are millions of people out there that wish they could live here and be free!
It's just NFL PR stuff to even have these guidelines. Frankly I'd feel pretty lame going into an interview with even the inkling that I was only there because of my race. The NFL is trying to be very PC, and with the amount of money made on TV rights it's easy to see why.Saban4prez said:What can you do? The NFL is anal about this rule and we all know it. I'd feel stupid if i was a minority candidate actually. Usually when half of them get interviewed, the team looking to hired already has its first option in mind.
I.E:Art shell for us. When we already basically had Saban.
