They've been talking about trading him for a long time. What did you think was gonna happen?
If us gaining $8 Million in cap room and a 2nd round pick for a 28 year old DB (Admitedly a very good one) constitutes the worst day of your life then you are very lucky indeedFinFan013 said:There goes our pass d-fence...this is the worse day of my ****ing life. i think that KC got the better end of this bull**** deal ...i cant seem to even think of not seeing pat in a phins uni next yr ..this makes me sick matter of fact i just throw up all over my keyboard....Way To go MIAMI ...whos next.....zack then jason ..**** it lets just move the team to another country and start all over bc ill be ****in dead before This team ****ing does anything ..Thanks FEARLESS LEADER :shakeno:

A second round and swapping fifths sounds like a bad deal to me. Sabin couldn't even get one of the Chiefs players for him. Our secondry has gone from the best in the league to just another secondary. I'm wiggin out here, anyone else sad about losing him at all. Cap eater or not!:roflmao:

I'd have rathered he stay here and play for less... but that wasn't going to happen. I'd be even more upset if he played for us this year in what will in all likelyhood be a rebuilding year... and then left the team afterwords for nothing in return. Had we not traded him, that's exactly what would have happened... not to mention that in order to sign our draft picks, we'd have had to get rid of a few bodies... or renegotiate a few contracts thus putting us in worse cap situation in the future.
Trading Surtain was what was best for both parties... not wanted by either, but necessary.
