MERGED: Dolphins hire Lazor as new OC

When did Philbin mention before this hire who he was really or not interested in?

This may or may not be directed at you, but I am constantly surprised how ppl either do not understand or forget how the so called media works. They are nothing more than mouth pieces for information and disinformation. I have more respect for street walker than most of the so called media.

Reporters that actually report the facts or real news is a rare thing, and it has been that way for decades.

No offense taken.

And I wasn't referring to the media....I was referring to specific posters who take a negative view of everything and think they understand what is in the HC's mind.

He was my top choice and I'm stoked for next year now!!! Woohoo!!!!!

DIGITAL: tell us WHY he was your top choice!! i mean, the guy isnt hardly a blip on the nfl radar.

not that i am against the hire, not at all, because there is no real nfl footprint from the guy i cant say at this point he is a good hire or bad.

so, that being said, with no real thing to hang lazors hat on in the nfl, WHY was he your "TOP CHOICE"?

They asked him what he took away from his time with Chip Kelly and inside of the 'filler' about players having fun, blah blah, he mentioned practice habits.

lets hope he took away some of the formations and playbook

Yup. It was impressive to watch Kelly clown on NFL defensive coordinators this year. I thought he was going to be a failure in the NFL.

Boy was I wrong.

FYI, Lazor on Finsiders now. (5:15) ET

1st impression of him, he seems to be a very confident man. Sounds like a leader of men. That was an impressive interview.

Lazor says he is aware that Joe Philbin's job is in question after this season. Says he made a conscious decision to lump his future in with Joe's.

"I'm with him. I chose to compete. I chose to make an impact."

Well, I love his attitude already.

Love it, that's great stuff right there.

Aren't you guys a little worried that Kelly's offense could be a flavor of the month type of offense. That now that there is a whole year of tape on his offense that D coordinators may slow his offense down this upcoming year?

:chuckle: Well it started out with sluuuuuurp...Phibin this... guuuuuuush....Philbin that, but after he finished wiping his chin clean he seemed like a guy who loves football and loves to teach. I think we are lucky to have this guy. I am hoping he can really help us.

Oh, by the way, I am just kidding. I realize anyone who just got a job is going to speak highly of the guy or gal who hired him.
