Can't remember who it was exactly -- I think it was Ray Lewis -- who cautioned that defenders would go for more of these lower body shots because of the way the NFL is policing upper body hits on "defenseless" receivers.
 
My question is do you place Keller on IR or reach a settlement and waive him like the Chargers just did with Alexander. Would it make much sense to put a guy who has a one year deal on IR with a major injury.

Put him on IR. Let him rehab whatever he tore tonight all year and sign him to a cheap one year prove himself type deal in 2014.
 
Dolphins should be in a position by next year to have either Sims or Egnew be contributors. If Keller is seriously hurt then waive him. Unfortunate but that is the way it is
 
these things happen. could have happened week 1, week 15, AFC Championship game.

anyone criticizing the HC or CS for leaving the starters in half way through the 2nd quarter either a) doesn't know much about football; or b) thinks injuries only happen when you leave starters in too long in the preseason.

First time in a while that I will have to disagree with you bro. If he is done for the year there is no point in paying him more than what is required. If he were under contract beyond this season it would be a different story. Let guys like Sims and Egnew know the door is wide open to lock down a starting role for the future. If neither of these guys step up to the plate, the TE position will have to be addressed in the offseason and we simply couldnt count on Keller coming back from a major injury.

Him being out for 2 days is moronic. Him being out for the year is not, bc most injuries that look like that, end up like that. Common sense.

Swearinger is a punk, and his ass got pulled from the game until the 4th I believe. Wish someone would've cheap shotted him. Heartbreaking. And at the end, u see Philbin on the sideline as the game ends, looking down thinking. I'd bet he's thinking very carefully about what words to use when he meets kubiak at midfield.

I'm ****ing disgusted. This is a big ****ing loss.

anytime we lose a scrub to the pats, he turns into a star...we steal a legit player from one of our division rivals, kid doesnt even play a regular game for us...something is definitely wrong with the football gods...its just not fair...i was sick to my stomach, didnt even finish watching the rest of the game...

i just know you cant put it on philbin's shoulders...everyone plays their starts in the preseason...it is a freak injury...may have a chance to be avoided if the league let players play like men...

yeah but i just dont think we can wait till next year we have a whole season ahead of us and i just dont think clay or sims is ready to step up and play the big role maybe next year but we need help this year if indeed we have lost Keller , hopefully we take a look at Shockey .
 
wow...didnt even think of that...so right :/...brady pops up like nothing, and we lose tanny's best friend this season...sims looked like crap tonight, eggnog is garbage...clay is what we have to rely on?? jesus lol

its allowed in football. Wanna blame someone? blame the NFL for not making it illegal to dive into a players knee.
