NO way!!!! I was watching the Pats before their first SB!!! I watched every game of that 2001 season, man that was a fun season to watch with friends.

I might have followed the B when i was young. But I out grew them.

So you want wanny back huh? This cutting off all the info is what the Pats do........Belechick is now god. Dont you want Saban to be god too?

Quite frankly, I think reports from those who report at the camps are basically useless. Nothing real ever comes of it in an aggregate sense. If we are going to build a new style defense and have new ideas that will surprise teams, it wont happen if everyone in creation reports about what we are doing.........teams are watching us, and that may turn you on in some way, but it wont get us W's.

GOD is GOD. Bellichick(sp) is Bellichick. Saban is Saban. I don't want either of them (Bellichick or Saban) to be GOD. Just being a heckler:D .

I agree. I think the limits at mini-camp are really miniscule. I don't watch anything the Fins do on the field until training camp. I find mini-camp to be nothing but a tease that I can live without.

Saban is not hostile toward the fan. He is not anti-fan. He does not want to alienate the fan, but he does not make decisions based on this fan base. I do not mean this post as a way to ridicule anybody on this board that is expressing a desire for Saban drafting or obtaining or letting go of particular players. That's what this forum is for and I enjoy reading what people have to say about various players. My point is more about Saban. He's cleaning up the mess. Part of cleaning up the mess is let EVERYBODY know who's in charge.

But I do think that many fans on this site are under the delusion that Saban would be making decision on how popular a fan is, or keep a tradition like an open invitation to fans at practice and training camp because of fan reaction. Nah! Saban slammed that door in our face and I love him even more for doing it. Nick is in CHARGE baby! Now EVERYBODY IS ON THE LEARNING CURVE!

I really like this post. I think I'd even take it a step farther though and say the "Dolfan" has also been part of the problem in Miami. That's right. The conduct of Dolfans at games, practices, on these message boards, and around town in South Florida are part of why Saban made this decision. He is not going to allow loud mouths or fair weather fans to distract from what he is doing. I love the move and understand exactly why he is doing it.
As disappointed as some of you are about his decision, I bet you'll notice a level of focus with our players that we havent had for a long time. Maybe it will equate into less dropped balls, missed blocks, missed tackles, and overall better play!

Yea, and what if Saint Saban's communistic tactics dont work, then what? He can be a good coach without being a prick to the season ticket base.

He's doing what he believes is the best for HIS team right now. He is not going to let reporters, players, or the fan base turn into the circus that has been present in Miami the last several years. I think its a wise move on his part and I'm expecting to see the team benefit from it.

Last time I checked he did not own the team. I disagree, I think this is a selfish move on his part without regard to the fans, the people who pay his pay check and all of the players on the field.

You are right. He doesnt own the team. But he clearly is in control of the Miami Dolphins...like it or not. If he thinks the fans have put themselves into a position where they are part of the problem, then I'm glad to have a leader with the nads to put the fan in their place or at least protect the organization from any problems he may see out there. Wayne has given him the power to run this team. Its his decision to make.

The restrictive policies are now starting to effect us, the fans, personally.

No camp reports....think about that.....those that have been on this board for a long time, know what kind of drug those camp reports are....well, now you're cut off...cold turkey....what do you have to say about that?

I'm actually working on getting agent passes to the two mini camps. I've been getting some players for a friend of mine, who just started a sports agency co., one of them being Seddrick Irvin, who was with the Dolphins under Wanny.

I actually had the chance to attend the private workout that the Dolphins just had. One of thier players is Santana Moss' cousin, Greg. I had an obligation that prevented me from going but if there are anymore workouts left, I'm going.

He did not mention Qb schools so lets wait and see if they, for one, have them, and two, if they let us in. If we think about it, most of the early reports came from Qb schools in may, and there were usually two mini camps starting in June. Plus, if all else fails, I know of a certain Roof top parking spot that, if at all possible, I will try and sneak up to watch from. It's a perfect view, that I've used plenty of times during stormy days.

THE THING THAT HAS ME PISSED IS NOW IM GOING TO HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER EXCUSE TO MISS WORK!!!! Dang you Coach Satan, dang you......

This is kind of lame that fans cant go to the minicamps. I live Ca and those reports and pictures were great to have. The Cowboys camp is near my home town and I go to that every year and I hate the Cowboys, but going and watching was football is fun. If it helps us win then ok, but im not sure i like this

The fact that you have season ticket doesn't give you the right to anything besides your seat on game day! Anything else they give you is just a bonus! If you don't like the way your being treated as a season ticket holder then give them up! I'm sure there are plenty of other people that would love the ticket! It's a ridiculous to see people complaining about a coach closing off a mini-camp when this is a practice that is done all around the league by other teams! Not every team lets fans go to mini-camp!

Do you have a list of the teams that close practices?

i don't blame him to some degree. Miami local fans are one of the worst in the league. the ultimate armchair quarterback, critcizing all the professional athletes when they do one thing wrong, booing their own team, none of the players, or coaches like that, and they just lose respect for us as a fanbase.

For those of you who are familiar with the Dolphins training facility, it has a large parking garage. You can see the entire field from the 4TH level{in the shade no less}. If Saban isn't going to let us inside, and sit in the stands, the only thing I have to say is....

Sorry Nick, you'll have to do better than that!!...

PHINZ RULE!!!

I thought of that when I first read the papers today. I'm always parking on the 4th floor anyway. Its a great spot to watch if it's pouring down rain. However, there is one problem. They can do what they've always done, for example, when training camp becomes closed to the public, they close public access to the garage as well, and they have security gaurds constantly going thruout the garage on a golf cart. Trust me, I drove all the way up there in hopes on getting some closed training camp reports, only to be turned away.
