MERGED: For once and for all Brown no backup...

I admitted he played a lot. but there can only be one starter. and even Ronnie Brown said he did not start many games. so that would make him the backup.

Sigh... No it doesn't. Go look up the word backup. That last time I watched football, there were 11 starters on the field. I'm out.

Close to the bottom of the page:

"Me not starting too many games, I guess the question would be carrying the load," he said. "But if that's all the question they have, that's a good thing, because I feel like I'm pretty confident in that situation."

That is Brown himself talking. and if he didn't START many games than i guess he BACKEDUP williams in those games.

and my interview link has a date when it was. the writers name for the sun herald that did it. my link is not home made. so now tell me how this does not prove a thing.

But you are missing the point, Brown did not start at RB as much as Caddy because he was an infierior Runner then Caddy, but because he was a better Blocker and Receiver (This is was all about the team, not who was a better RB). Calling Brown Caddy's Backup just sounds wrong, Brown could have just as easy started over Caddy, but caddy would not have been as effective a blocker.

He shared carries. He was NOT the backup. You will never admit that either.

This is the problem, Godfather believes backup means you hardly get in the game something Ronnie did frequently...

Not a starter but hard to call him a backup when he had less than 100 combined yards than Caddy... Would you also call Reggie Bush a backup..... tech. yes... but that guy is always on the field making plays just like Ronnie did..

you are getting dumber and dumber with these posts. you are losing you can admit it. there are 11 players on either side of the ball with eleven different positions. there can only be 1 starter at each position.

Again go back and read my posts. i said a starter is the player that gets more reps at that position. williams lined up at RB and carried more hand offs than Brown. that is what i have been saying the whole time.

There is some good logic for you there. but it sums up most of you people. if Ronnie Brown himself would even happen to state that he was a back-up. all of you people would be saying what the hell does he know? he was the starter.

And if Caddy came out and said that Ronnie Brown was not my back-up, you might just say, who cares I liked Benson better, but the other two should be ok..

WRONG!!!

A starter is the person who STARTS, it has absolutely nothing to do with reps.

Show me where caddy said that. i showed you where Brown admitted he wasn't the starter.

Ok I think people are willing to say technically speaking Ronnie Brown was a backup... What people really want to know, is if you think that Brown is better than Caddy and played almost as much (507 carries to 741 career) why do you insist to put the BACKUP label on Ronnie Brown???????????????

Welcome to my ignore list!

more proof you lost. i gave you a reputable statement from Brown himself saying he was not the starter. and all you have is a Homemade web site. with no reporter name, company, date nothing.

I am not argueing why Caddy was the starter. i'm just argueing he WAS the starter.

Once and for all Brown is a back-up

C.Williams Carried the ball 86 times more then ronnie did.Ronnie carried the ball 153times and C.Williams carried the ball 239.Dont say they split carries. That aint even near a split.86 times is like 3 more games more.Stats show it.The reason why is because ronnie is a better blocker then C.williams.Auburn system worked better when Williams had the ball and ronnie blocking. They want to win games.I hate to say it ,but ronnie was a back-up.Williams was more in the offence then ronnie was.Stats prove it.Ronnie will be a better Nfl back, because of speed, hands, blocking, and is strong as hell.Im so happy we got Ronnie. He is going to have a great carrer in Miami.

:woot: I get to add another ignorant person to my ignore list!
