Merged: Insight into Sparano's more aggressive approach

It depends on the consistency, if the guy consistently doesn't get it done, you have to change quarterbacks.

The best QB's throw a pic now and then, but they don't throw more interceptions than touchdowns.....as Chad has done. That is where he has to improve, he has to make the plays that win games, not lose them.

Did you not see the stats posted? Favre went 19/24 in '92.

My point is precisely that he's going to get 3 INT games in a more aggresive scheme. It's natural in QB development. And how our coaching staff reacts will dictate the future of the offense: cautious will get you right back into run-first. Confident will bear those games out.

I do agree it's up to Henne to reward their trust in the long term. And it's a make or break season for him. I wouldn't even focus on the TD-INT ratio, but the overall statistics. And we'll probably have to wait at least until midseason to find out.

The difference is the year before in his rookie year he was 18/13....so you get a little more slack for 2nd year slump, he had proven he could do it. Henne has been consistently upside down and has proven nothing yet.

Just watch...if things go bad offensively, Tony will tell Daboll to go more conservative on offense. Anyone can say "Yeah, we're going to be more explosive" in August. Let's see Tony keep that mindset after a two game losing streak when the offense has sputtered.

wrong, his boss said become a winner. So sparano gameplanned about what he needed to do to turn this football team into a winner, he knew the philosophy of this team needed to change to become a winner. When parcells was here sparano wasnt in charge of who his offensive coordinator was, so it was a great thing parcells left. Good job tony, you have my full support.
...and in case you did not get the memo, points win football games.
