Your big mistake when you had a chance to start over was bringing in guys that would draft a bad QB. Hopefully, Philbin will be smart enough to move forward with a new QB and people will see what a good team you have put together for us. Hiring Coyle wasnt the smartest of plays since we got Ellerbe and Wheeler in the deal. Dansby opened his mouth too much, but that guy was a player.

Those were really your only mistakes post Parcells. Outside of Tannehill, Ellerbe, and Wheeler, you have really done a nice job the last couple of seasons. I know I will thank you if Philbin brings in a new QB and we have some success off of the work you have done.

Question: after New Years Eve: what does Melty Ryan have in common with Jameis Winston and Andrew Luck?
Answer: Absolutely Nothing!

FWIW, outside of some Falcons homers, Ryan is starting to be referred to as "the new Tony Romo." Will Dimitroff and/or Smith be fired because although Dimitroff gave his chokey QB a bunch of elite tools, he's still 1-4 (and just barely after sitting there watching a huge first half lead literally disappear), and has scored a total of 26 points in 5 NFL 2nd halfs (6 if you want to count the VT/BC ACC championship)??? With successful in-seasons (well at least some) yet postseason chokefests with those same weapons, who's really to blame for the blue balls? To anyone who thinks, Melty could have mounted a Jameis or Luck type comeback in the second half in crunch time, when the clock is clicking down and it's win or go home, I have a shiny Bridge in the County of Kings I can sell you cheap. But I do agree, even though Ryan disappeared in the second half of the ACC game, who'd know it signalled a choke gene when everything was on the line? :idk:

OMG...no more asking draft prospects if their mom is a prostitute, no wasted 2nd round picks on Wildcat QBs and momma boys OTs, no more hiding during national media stories, no more insulting our veteran players with mediocre contracts just to over pay average free agents. I AM IN SHOCK! Best Day in Miami in a loooooooooooong time! Ross you are redeemed...enjoy moving back to Dallas Jeff!
 
Armando says Gaine will be kept as scout but will not be GM.
 
Too bad we lost out on Lovie Smith. We're probably going to lose out on Jay Gruden too
 
Soooo this is a plum job as Ross tells the guy you WILL keep Dawn Aponte and Joe Philbin. WTF?

JUST CLEAN HOUSE! This is so frustrating. Get it right.
 
I was so worried that the Sherman firing was just one of those moves made to make it seem like Ross actually cared and was doing something. It made no sense to fire Sherman and to keep Taylor and Turner.

This gives me hope. Now, if I only felt better about Ross's ability to hire the right GM to replace Ireland.
