MERGED: Jim Harbaugh/Dolphins 2015 Speculation

This Harbaugh vs. 49ers breakup is weird and strange.

Only if Jim can bring the 49ers LB's. Otherwise, no thanks.

Philbin will not be going anywhere, anytime in the near future. And that's a good thing.

Note, this is just my speculation based in story above, but this would make perfect sense. We all know Ross is infatuated with Michigan Man Harbaugh. This would be the one move that might alter the perception of the franchise.

If SF doesn't want to give Harbaugh what he wants, I could see them agreeing to a trade and Harbaugh may prefer Miami to the Browns due to locale, ownership (Michigan connection) and QB (assuming he doesn't tank)

I could even see Hickey staying on as a glorified scout (but GM in name) if he does an OK job this year with Harbaugj holding all the power he craves.

The only downside would be the depletion of several valuable draft picks. But I would be willing to do it if we get the right coach.

Our organization reputation is horrible. Its going to be hard to for us to get well known name coaches.

Pretty much. No good coach is going to be willing to work with Aponte as the football czar. Whether or not she's officially the football czar is pretty meaningless, because it's pretty clear she holds the power in the building.

Just take a look at her job title.

Can we get Jon Harbaugh instead? Jim is too much of a hot head for my liking.

I vote no on giving up any kind of pics for him. We aren't in a position to do that like the Bucs were. Let it play out and he will force his way out of San Fran.

Yup, everything makes sense... except that Harbaugh would never join an unorganized joke of a club like the Dolphins when he has such better options.

We have a coach and a new GM 2 weeks until free agency and your worried about What might happen with the San Fran coach 2 years from now? I mean this is whats wrong with our fan base

Really, really, dont see the Harbaugh thing happening. However, it sure would be extremely entertaining to watch him try to co-exist with Dawn Aponte. Man, to be a fly on the wall during those meetings.

Stephen Ross needs to make an offer to Harbaugh of 14 million per for 4 years and put in the contract that Harbaugh will be one of the two highest paid Head Coaches in the league for as long as he is with the Dolphins. Plus he gets final say on the roster. At that point if Harbaugh wants the job, he will take it. If he leaves the room without sighing the contract, the deal is off.
