since wanny left, haslett can inherit the title of nfl's worst coach

100% agree.....I am surprised this guy is still employed.

There are rumors that the Saints are the leading candidate for a move to LA.

If thats true the Saints owner doesnt want to make any long term commitments which is probably why he is retaining Haslett as HC.

His coaching talents have been underwhelming.

LA doesn't have a stadium. They won't get a team until they have a new building to play in.

Interesting take from a Saints fan. Hopefully, SS will be the right fit for him and he can produce up to his potential. If so, Saban is a genius. If not, we're in a lot of trouble in our defensive backfield, unless we can pick up a keeper between now and the start of the season. I'm not excited about Tillman at the other safety position either.

See, my concern for you all about Jones is not that Haslett couldn't do anything with him---that shouldn't surprise anyone---but that Belichick could make him nothing more than an average safety who could play special teams. As Belichick is Saban's mentor, I just don't see how Nick can do any better.

Anyway, I think the Saints and Fins have a scary sort of symbiosis going on right now. Ricky, Sammy, Jones, Mueller...hell, even Saban with his Louisiana ties...

Freakish.

What's the matter, Jim? Not in the news enough? I don't think anything this guy says can be taken very seriously. He seems to be a desperate man who will say anything for attention (the whole Pittsburgh thing). Odds are that he is the next coach fired.
That girl in your sig .... she's been on Maury a bunch of times right?

jones was good for the saints! like he was good for the pats! new orleans publicly unleashed on sammy knight when they released him and why because he wasnt fast enough right? well then they got the speed they were looking for in jones but he couldnt react to the ball well enough! it seems like new orleans are never happy with what they have and miami are happy with their safeties! he was brought in to stop the run. that makes it easier to stop the pass because the other team is forced to pass which leads tocforced thrown balls because of jason, roth, carter, and holliday!and we still have madison to int the pass!!! just make sure he and tommy are on the same person!! one can catch the other can tackle! good deal!!!! the saints should of did that with tommy and sammy they would of confused the offense like crazy.

I agree with everyone here. Absolute classless move to publicly rip an player. But Haslett is the same guy that said in this year's draft regarding troubled QB Adrian McPherson, "I don't care what kind of person he is. All I care about is what kind of football player he is." That speaks volumes about him and what's wrong with the Saints.

Tesucky Jones couldnt catch a freaight train with a net!!!

You guys are in for a lot of poor poor poor tackling at the SS position, but dont worry his little strip the ball move when he finaly makes a tackle will pay off about 1 time out of every 125 tackles.

I've watched every saints gave that he's played in, and I've seen offense after offense take advantage of him being out of position and his extremely poor tackling. Yes he can hit hard, but he misses his target WAY too many times. He dosent wrap people up with his arms he hits them with a shoulder, and big recievers and backs just bounce the otherway, or he thows a shoulder and knocks the receiver into the endzone, a classic Tesucky Jones move.

Good luck with him, I grew up in south florida and lived there for 25 years so I have some love for the Phins. I always pull for them as my AFC team but I think you will have MUCH better luck with Muller then Tesucky, the guy is just a poor poor football player..

I was thinking the same thing. The Louisiana connection is rearing its head more than I thought it would.Pass me the gumbo.

Is it better than the Chicago connection of the Wanny years?
