Merged: Lj Shelton Released

if the cards could have gotten anything from him, they would have. if we sign him, its to play. why would we trade a need-position for draft picks anyway?

it depends how much $$ he wants.

I think he'll probably want too much money. Same with Law. But I'd love to see both of them in Miami.

Titans | Brown Injured Again - Suffers Fractured Hand - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 18 May 2005 15:37:44 -0700

Tennessee Titans RB Chris Brown (hand) suffered a fractured right hand Wednesday, May 18, which is expected to keep him out of the remainder of the team's minicamp workouts in May. He is likely to also be limited during June.

I was thinking the same thing- Tennessee will definitely be calling.

See, having a bills fan around isn't that bad. :D

Henry can't go to Tennessee....Brown's one of my fantasy league keepers! :)

I'm still not ruling out a Henry to Philly trade, by the way. Ryan Moats is NOT the guy they want to complement Brian Westbrook. I think Moats will end up as a kick returner. They still need a between-the-tackles runner, which Henry does much better than anyone they have.

As for those who are down on Traylor, our run defense was TERRIBLE last season. With Timbo possibly retiring and Chester's health questionable, DT is a huge need. Traylor probably won't command a whole lot; we're the only team talking seriously to him, so his market's limited. The guy is a run-stuffing monster, even if he only plays on rushing downs, he's well worth it. Traylor has to be the priority.

By the way, Denny Green knows his way around an offense. If he's cutting Shelton loose, and the Cards OL was cruddy last year, I'm not exactly jumping with joy at the thought of picking the guy up.

A lot of people were saying that about Kendall last season- and not signing him was a huge mistake. Hes a good player, and played well for the Jets.

i'd sign him at the vet minimum .. thats it ...

It never ceases to amaze me who we think might come to Miami for the "Vet's minimun". No matter who is released, someone always says "If he'll come here for the vet minimum, I'd take him". No offense, dolfan91. Cracks me up.

Did anyone see the poll on the Cards website asking who should be the starting TE? The kid they just cut is leading (no joke).

The Cards:roflmao:
