Merged: Lj Shelton Released

I think he'll probably want too much money. Same with Law. But I'd love to see both of them in Miami.

Pay Shelton over Law!

we should be fine a CB.

i hope you're right, cuz the way i see it, we have an aging cb that got burnt quite a bit last season, a dime back that was released by tampa bay, and a rookie that lacks speed. oh, and howard...

Yes I totally agree with you, we have no real LT and we should be fine a CB.
I disagree with you guys, we need Ty Law more than we need a Left Tackle, we signed Stockar McDougle from the Lions and drafted Anthony Alabi and still have Vernon Carey, Damian McIntosh and John St.Clair. I think the line was coming together at the end of the season last year and our new OL coach Hudson Haock will make a big difference.

we can sign him now can't we and keep Henry for insurance. If we traded for him, we would have to take his 3 million/yr. contract. He just got cheaper now.

I still think the bills will trade him eventually. Some rb is bound to get hurt at camp. I'm not wishing for it but it's happened before and we ended up trading Olandis Gary to the lions for a 4th.

Besides, there's talk that the eagles ,Jags and Titans may still need a rb.

As much as I hate to agree with a Jills fan, they come out smelling like a rose if they sign Shelton. Now they get him free and could use Henry to get more players/picks. Maybe in a package deal for T.O. since it seems the eagles are heading for an impasse and a bitter hol;dout possibly forcing a trade. Bills could use a T.O. opposite Moulds, tho I think Evans is a very good wr.

Wow talking up the Jills,............ that hurt!

I would be very surprised if we DIDNT make a play for him (though we will be competing with Buffalo for his services). Hes a huge man (6'6 335), still quite young, and seems to fit into the mold of a typical Hudson Hauck Linemen.

If we dont even attempt to sign him, I will assume it means that HH has ENORMOUS faith in Vernon Carey. Because good, strong LT's dont get released every day.

FWIW, Shelton went to Eastern Michigan the same time Saban was coaching at Michigan St. I wonder how familiar he is with LJ.

Does this guy have to go through waivers? If so, we're #2 on the list.

Bump to answer this question! Does he go through waivers?

Isn't Shelton a RT? don't we already have McDougal to play there?

Sign him if the price is reasonable just to spite the Bills!

Titans | Brown Injured Again - Suffers Fractured Hand - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 18 May 2005 15:37:44 -0700

Tennessee Titans RB Chris Brown (hand) suffered a fractured right hand Wednesday, May 18, which is expected to keep him out of the remainder of the team's minicamp workouts in May. He is likely to also be limited during June.
Don't think Tenn. will be calling anytime soon. He will be fine by training camp
