Merged: Matt Flynn to Seattle

Another strike out for us! Guess we will go with either Smith or Tannehill. :ponder:

The crying but in reverse. You people take this junk far too seriously. Try to enjoy it once in a while.

I'd be thrilled with either Tannehill or Weeden. But I'm sure as **** not counting on Ireland to draft either.

And the funny part is that Alex Smith turned down a contract that's gonna pay him 8-9 a year for 3 years...

Ireland will probably offer him a contract for only 5 a year....

Yep, nobody on here is allowed to say anything remotely negative about our FO and any moves/non-moves we make!! God forbid we have an opinion seperate from that which is decreed to us. Please. Why is it that everyone around the league laughs at our FO, but a certain percentage of our fans think everyone else doesn't know what they are talking about?

This thread it nauseating. Am i disapponted we don't have a QB yet? Of course! Do i want Alex Smith? Heck no. I'd rather have Flynn. BUT.....i'm not paying Flynn $9M a year either for a guy with 2 NFL starts who doesn't "wow" anyone with his physical attributes, especially when we already have a messy cap situation. If Philbin felt that Flynn was a top notch QB, he would have sold that to Ireland and the deal would have gotten done. But since it didn't happen, you have to think the staff didn't feel Flynn was much of an upgrade over Moore or they wanted to start fresh and go after a guy like Tannehill. Signing Flynn to that contract this year would have maxed out our space and not allowed us to sign anyone else to put around him (WR, OL). If we keep Moore and go young with Tannehill, we can still sign some pieces around them and continue building through the draft.

Smith isn't coming here. That meeting was to get Flynn to lower his price, it failed.

Im glad they did not sign him, he sucks....i watched all his youtube video footage and was not impressed at all. Slow realease, taking sack after sack, throwing Int,s all over the place and his tds were just little pass plays for 10-15 yrds exept one. He was not going to be the answer for us and he wont for seattle. Hope Marshawn Lynch is ready for a heavy work load.

Could you imagine?! It's what I originally wanted. Dreams like that couldn't possibly come true.

Redskins gave up more than 3 number one picks to get the chance to draft RGIII.......and you think they would trade him to the Dolphins after that?????.......What are you going to offer as compensation......4-5 first round picks? :rolleyes2:

Edit:Sorry...quoted wrong post.Meant to reply to this post:

Maybe we trade with redskins for rg3?

OH NO! WE SUCK AGAIN!

Honestly, if we won't match 3 years $26M for a franchise quarterback when our owner is flapping his jaw about wanting to put arses in the seats, then we honestly are the biggest jokes in the league.

Flynn even publicly stated he WANTED to visit the Dolphins and give us a chance before he made any decision. He was loyal to his word and we still low balled him.

And we WONDER why Marino has to BEG Manning to just speak to us. If anyone on this board believes we are being snubbed unfairly, you're dreaming. We deserve all of the treatment we get.

Someone earlier said we were like the new Detroit. I wouldn't give us that much credit. We're the new Oakland.

Low balling when we're lucky to even be graced with visits. REALLY?!

Classless.

If you really believe that took place, then I'm not surprised with your post.

To be clear, that Marino actually begged Manning to come see us.

It's been leaked that's what happened...

Palm Beach post had a story on it.

Damn you really do defend all things Ireland...Keep buying those season tickets. Ross needs people like yourself.

Well...it's going to be interesting in the draft.

We are one of the worst teams in the league in terms of competency...

The rest of the league looks at us as a bunch of clowns.

No we aren't. I think it's obvious that Philbin wasn't as high on Flynn as the over emotional Dolphin fans are/were.

But pls, get back to your irrational blame Ireland for everything, really it will change things, even if you are right about him.
