Retractable Roof on Dolphins Stadium

When the stadium was renamed wyane said that he plans it to have a retactable roof. I don't think this is a good idea because the heat and humidity give us an advantage over our opponents. Vote or post your opinion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the retractable roof be "opened" in nice weather games (especially in the heat). A retractable roof is much better than a dome because you can open it up whenever you want. We'd still have our advantage of the heat because the roof won't be closed unless there's terrible weather like there was last year with all the hurricanes. I think that's one of the main reasons why we'll probably be getting the retractable roof. I don't think it's such a bad idea, but it really doesn't matter. I agree that the heat gives us a tremendous advantage over teams, but I don't see the retractable roof having anything to do with that because common sense says that the roof will be open unless there's bad weather...

we shouldn't need to depend on the weather to beat our teams. we should beat them regardless of the weather. what do we do if our players are great in the heat and we have to play in somewhere sh*t like, Detroit or BUFFALO?

I havent gotten season tickets b/c of the temperature. With a roof, I'll be the 1st one in line to buy tickets.

Yessir, I agree. It'll only be closed for bad weather. The fins bad weather is usually detrimantal to themselves, although I remember a few great home games in the rain. Whereas, punks like Green Bay and New England can acclimate to their bad weather and use it to their advantage. No Fair!!!:fire:

Hell yea, that dirt has f'd us over a few times.
Losers make excuses as to why they lose, winners find a way to win no matter what bad things go against you.

Please vote NO to adding a retractable roof on the stadium. Our players practice in the heat and humidity all through the summer and this gives us a small advantage on gameday when teams who practice in cold weather areas come to town.

Do you think they would put roofs on Giants stadium, Foxboro stadium, Rich Stadium?????? Heck NO. They want to have an advantage.

JUST SAY NO!! Let the Jets, Bills and Patsys sweat their butts off in September!

:fire:

It's going to be used when weather conditions would hamper our game, and not to block out the sun. If he wanted to do that, he would build us a dome. This is 110% to our advantage. Open stadium in the sun, closed stadium when the wind and rain is a problem.

Yo... the only time they are gunna close it for our games are the ones like the Steelers game this year when it was a lake on the field! they arnt gunna close it on beautiful hot sunny days... not to worry, the dolphins, along with any team, will use any advantage they can get... the dolphins arnt stupid!

Nasty

IT would hafta be Dolphin's Dome, or Dolphin's Tank!!!

If it had a retractable glass roof it sure would be "The Tank" wouldn't it :D

To be honest... I like the stadium just the way it is. I am dreading the thought of the day it is taken down.

I Think It Would Keep The Hurricane Weather Out.....
It Would Be Used More For Events Like Concerts Etc...football Would Be Open Air.....my Guess

With nothing but 1pm home games this year it should be interesting to see what the season ticket holders and fans say. there are 0 4:30 games when its hot and 0 night games.

Roof would only be closed if it was hurricaning outside.

As long as Wayne pays for it Miami can have as many nice upgrades to their stadium as they want!!
