Merged: Steve Slaton released by Texans, signed by Fins

he's added alot of weight and muscle since playing with pat white. lost some of his speed. injuries have taken a toll. always had a case of the fumbles. but can catch.

i wouldn't mind seeing henne in the shotgun, with bush to the left and slaton to the right. marshall and hartline out wide and bess in the slot. i think you could get a lot of mismatches in coverage out of this formation, but you would have trouble blocking, however you could catch a team in a mismatch and no huddle the crap out of them. well see...

Sure, you can do any of that... But will this coaching staff do it? NO. Cause they fail at putting players in the best position to do great things.

Slaton sucks and to release Ryan Baker for him is criminal

We were the only team to submit a waiver claim for Slaton. Shows how well he is thought of.

I can't really complain about this. Wouldn't have cared if we didn't get him and I don't care too much that we did get him. But hey.. we have a 3rd back that isn't Hilliard, so fine with me.

well i guess one: lets be real ryan baker has been released and resigned and waved more times then i can count so im sure hell be back. two i dont think its criminal at all this guy isn't a difference maker, baker isn't winning us any games. he's overrater versatile depth at best. and when you have soliai, starks, langford, odrick, merling, mcdaniel, kearse... ( i dont care whos hurt right now) ... baker becomes expendable.

as for runningback, bush, thomas, hilliard. hmm? i'd say slaton was a needed addition. one injury or cramp or hammy pull and thats easily the thinnest unit on the team, worse then corner or safety

at least he came from the state of texas, our turnovers just went up, and the next step will be trade bush, this regime get dumber and dumber by the day

Why is every player that is cut by another team someone that "we need to sign"!

I knew as soon as I saw he was cut there would be a post saying we just "have" to sign this guy. We don't need to sign any more RB"s!!!!

Spoke too soon there killer
