Wow... Honestly, I like this idea...if we could trade a couple of commercial breaks for in-game product placement and announcers reading advertisements, I'd be all for that. I watch about 1/3 as much football as I used to, mainly because the games take too damn long.

I watch way more football than I used to thanks to the invention of the PVR. Even for the Superbowl I doubt I'll watch any commercials, I'll just try to keep it within about a 20 minute delay. Commercials are almost always exactly 2 minutes long which is 4 "skips" on the remote.

I wouldn't miss the 1200 plus extra points per season. Kind of redundant. It is a waste of every ones time.
The only time I remember an missed extra point costing a team the playoffs was in North Dallas Forty.

Would much rather see the time be used to review defense less receive hits. They are calling anything and everything.
The camera can correct this issue. But it would take a couple reviews per game. I'll give up the extra point to make sure my team doesn't get screwed by refs.

Then you must have missed or forgotten about Tony Romo mishandling of the snap that cost the Cowboys a chance at a playoff win against the Seahawks.

With all the rule changes to protect players including making long snappers defenseless, this is the next evolution or de-evolution of the game of football.

If they want to move the attempt back , fine with me. Narrow the posts, fine also. But what I REALLY want them to get rid of is the pass interference BS. They should make it a 15 yarder, and if it's in the end zone only half the distance to the goal. I'm so tired of seeing the ball just chucked deep and hope some defender just touches the poor defenseless receiver and the ball is on the 1 yard line...(like Brady vs Cleveland) no guarantee that ANY catch is automatic A friend of mine suggested REDUCING the amount of points a FG was worth the farther back you were...like rewarding the defense for stopping the drive. Up to 30 yards 3pt, 31-50 yards 2pt, 51 plus 1pt. You either go for it on 4th down, or punt. It would make those games when you are down by 3 with 1:30 left and on your own 20 a LOT more exciting!

I agree, defensive PI should be 15yds. Still can't believe this hasn't changed.
