Merged: Tim Couch Worth a Look - Why Not?

NFL Network's Adam Shefter reports that the Giants are interested in signing Tim Couch.

If this is up to Couch why would he want 2 go 2 the Giants???He would never get a chance there (Eli Manning) or would he want the Dolphins (Gus Frerott 38-Aj Feeley sucks-Sage Rosenfells not starting material-Brock Berlin wont last) come on guys if he returns his best bet is Miami.........
 
Dont know he sucked in Cleavend didnt make it in Green Bay other then that u never know.With a good system he could become the QB everyone thought he would be...

Frerotte is definitely superior. Much more basic and compact delivery and a better arm, even at a half dozen years older. Frerotte also has more variety of touch than Couch and is more nimble in the pocket. Couch was always gangly and unathletic and can't adjust and throw on the move, partially because of his absurd crankup delivery. His arm was never very good even before the shoulder troubles. His best pass was a quick drop and lob to the outside, a WR on a short go route along the sideline. Couch put decent touch on that and his crankup motion was almost a plus because it enabled the WR to get further downfield. He almost always played better on the road than at home in Cleveland.

Tim Couch was always a big name with small talent. If we sign him, the positive threads will morf to disgust and ridicule if he plays for any length of time.
 
Tim Couch was cut by green bay for a reason. The fans cheered when couch got injuried, i dont think he would be a good addition. Im sick and tired of people wanting halfass QBS (Tommy Maddox, Rohen Davey, Mike Mcmahon etc..). I say we just wait and see how this season pans out. If he have a top 10 draft choice then obviously we need a QB because Frerotte/Feeley did not work out.
 
I think he was way overdue for his shoulder surgery....and is doing much better now. I think it might be a great idea to work him out and see how he is. I heard that the fins were one of the interested teams on NFL network as well.

FIEDLER has better career stats than Couch. You guys hated Fiedler... why would you want couch? change of scenery? he's no better than Frerotte.
 
is tim couch worth a look why not?

my question is why not bring in tim couch i really think under the rite coaches and rite scheme this guy has alot of upside.not to mention he was a 1st rd pick and did really good in college bring him in saban i hope we sign him before someone else does let's see what he can do can't hurt it's not like we are stacked at qb........
