Merged: What next? Any new news?

nope all is quite except for Randy McMichael Sage Rosenfields and Jeremy Shockey are suposed to be auditioning for a broadway musical called Wanny and the runningback that flew over the coo koo s nest .

took a little digging, but I was able to get this...

Miami is looking carefully at FA CBs, but they do not see anybody available that is worth a big contract. Miami will look more for CBs that can start, but are more interested in getting guys that can cover the slot. Aside from a recent visit from former Cardinal Eric Green, Miami is expected to get visits from Fakhir Brown, Lewis Sanders, and Ralph Brown.

Also, with the CB market thinning out, Miami is expected to make a late push for either Leigh Bodden or Bryant McFadden. McFadden wants a bigger deal than most seem willing to give, but his agent has said that he has interest in the Fins. If the interest isn't shared or an agreement isn't reached, McFadden will resign with the Steelers. Bodden is just exploring his options, after thinking he had a deal in place with the Patriots, he left without a contract. He'd prefer to go to a playoff caliber team, an Miami might be that team. This is also a case in Miami not wanting to give huge money to a player coming off a down year. Don't rule out Bodden returning to Detroit cause he likes new HC Jim Schwartz.

The Fins would like to add another ILB for depth, but the main guy they want (Kevin Burnett) wants to be a starter. There have been talks with LBs Brandon Moore and Monty Beisel about potential visits.

Fins are still looking at potential cheap OLBs and have had premilinary discussions with Marques Harris, Shawntee Orr, and Clark Haggans but seem intent on addressing this position through the draft unless they get a bargain.

Parcells and Ireland were prepared to sign NT Colin Cole to a 5 year deal, but he decided to take a deal worth more money in Seattle (plus, a starting job next year).

The Fins are looking at depth for Langford and Merling. Though they like Starks, and feel like Dotson and Wright have potential, they still feel there could be upgrades had. Mike Wright is rumored to be visiting over the weekend.

Despite resigning Bell and signing Wilson, Miami is looking for a 3rd safety. Brandon McGowan is rumored to be visiting.

SO there's your news.
