Wake will get signed. If for some stupid reason they move him, it better be a blockbuster trade up move. What if we trade to 2 and get RG3 ?

How would that even happen? The Redskins already gave up a King's ransom to get RGIII.

Why would they take our #8 pick and a 30 year old pass rusher when they gave the Rams THREE 1st round picks AND a 2nd round pick?

You are totally right, and as I sit here Im thinking they might actually lose this guy. Theres young talent in the draft that may replace him but it really looks like ireland and company just keep creating new holes to fill. What they've done so far comes off half baked

I like Wake and hope we get him under contract for a few more years. Having said that, he only had 8 sacks last year after everyone knew about him. I know he needs help on the other side but I saw him blocked plenty of times last year just one on one.He had some good games but he had some games when he didn't do anything. Then again the whole defence had games like that, specially when they played good teams. Our defece is overated imo.

what does jared allen have to do with cam wake??? if you prefer allen over wake good for you...wakes still an elite nfl pass rusher...10 times better than anything else on this roster on the edge i can tell ya that

I agree... he got kinda figured out last year when they could study more film on the guy. I like to see him get paid, but he has to prove a little more before asking top dollar. I believe we'll sign him. But I'm not going to get all too upset if we don't. He's under contract. So he can sit all year if he likes, and lose a year of eligibility next year towards free agency. Ireland has been pretty good in evaluating players already on our roster in terms of performance and compensation. Wake will get a fair market value contract.

He is definitely NOT an average pass rusher. He's easily top ten and close to top five in the NFL.

High character guy who I would love to see get paid his due, but right now it'll be hard for us to do that.

Jake will get a new deal before Wake. Wake's my current favorite Dolphins because of his work ethic and how much of an impact he has on our team.
