Merged X12: Ongoing Henne vs. Sanchez Debate...

Your post reeks of jealousy.
Seriously ... stop crying ... you sound like a baby.
And if you think luck had anything to do with this win ...
then please go buy a dictionary and look up the word "luck".
it wasnt luck, but can someone please explain to me why a team in the texans that knows that the jets need to drive 72 yds with no timeouts and they need a touchdown, and a touchdown only, r not playing prevent?

again, not taking anything away from sanchez or the jets today, they took advantage, the pass to holmes in the endzone was beautiful, but im just curious in general?

Sorry but that pick has been traded along our 3rd, 7th and 2012 1st and whatever else needs to make it happen to select QB Andrew Luck 1st overall!

LOL! You have the pulse of the total collapse. Miami could probably get into the playoffs next season with Thigpen or Henne at QB. It's not as bad as it seems. We've had no running game this season. Ronnie is not getting it done. Draft a RB in the first round next year to start and lead the rushing attack. The offense needs it badly.

New rushing attack under a new OC in 2011!!

Why can't Henne's do the same? After all, he has Brandon Marshall...the best reciever (talent wise) in the AFC East. If anything...it's Henne that doesn't go down the field enough. He's played 10 games and thrown at least 1 interception in 8 of them. That's not going to win you games. As a Jets fan...I know this.
As I said in the bottom of the post, the coaching staff has ****ed the kid up. The past couple of weeks, Ed Reed said they knew Henne isn't allowed to take chances down the field and Cortland Finnegan said he knew 80% of the routes being run based on the Dolphins formation. It allows the defense to shrink the field knowing Henne is being handcuffed and the offense is predictable.

I remember the 1st play in the Minnesota game Henne hits Marshall for a 56 yard pass and then NOT another deep pass is called the rest of the game. WTF is that other than piss-poor coaching/coordinating?

Sanchez is improving greatly and the main reason is that he is one million times better coached than Henne is. Sanchez is trusted by his coaching staff not Henne. Dan Henning is killing Henne. Last year, everytime he got something going, they pulled him out for the wildcat. There is no connection with Henne and Henning as you see with Sanchez and Schotty. Gimme Sanchez in Miami and he'll get his 20 Int's. Put Henne in Rex Ryan's system and the Jets won't loose anything. Both have strenghts but the Jets were able to develop a lot better Sanchez. Also what's is helphing Sanchez is the good running game he has. Our running game is horrible and the biggest looser of that is Henne. He's asked to perform a la Brady or Manning which he obviously can't.

Not sure how much he is improving. Sanchez started this year the same way he started last year...he had over 100 QB rating in 3 of first 4 games. Over the last 5 games Sanchez QB rating has been...59.9, 60.1, 43.3, 82.9, 87.2...those numbers have been inflated by WRs taking short passes and getting RAC.

Sanchez is overrated. He's been a bit more steady the last couple of weeks, but in general he is erratic, he'll either play great, or play horrible and cost his team the game. On a team with lots of talent, which the jets currently have, consistency is key, and he doesn't have it yet.

Agreed. Miami opens up the playbook against the Titans and Henne plays well. Until Miami gets an offensive coordinator that opens up the playbook and gets the ball to its best players, we will never truly know what Henne is capable of doing.

I gotta give Sanchez credit though that was an awesome drive against the Texans. 58 seconds with no timeouts. Watching that game also shows why we released Jason Allen.

Debate is over. It would be embarrassing to even try to extend it. BUT, Sanchez is far from being a top QB in this league and if we managed to get Luck a new argument would be made that would swing dramatically in our favor.

Be more bitter will you. Sanchez pick was ill timed but its not like it was a real throw, he had his arm smashed as he was letting it go. His perfect throw to Braylon and then the perfect throw to Santonio proves he is a good qb.

Sanchez is not doing bad, but the jest would have been better off staying at 17 and taking Josh Freeman, the QB who legitimately looks like the real deal - one of the few first rounders since the Rivers-Roethlesburger-EManning draft who's actually more turning out to be more talented than his supporting cast and carrying his team instead of vice versa. Hindsight's always 20/20 but of Henne, Flacco, Ryan, Stafford, Sanchez .. at this point, Freeman's makes the most compelling argument for Best of Breed, not to mention the best value.

Can't see Andrew Luck getting past the Bills or Panthers. Both teams need a quarterback. Ryan Fitzpatrick is doing a good for the Bills tho. Don't know what the hell is going on with the Panthers.

Sanchez is the guy that NFL front offices are looking for. Sure he may be raw, but he's making plays. He's maturing. He's going to make mistakes, but for his 2nd year is making more plays than making mistakes and helping his team win. Yes the cast is better around him but he still has to get them the ball. sadly he's not on our team, but to be honest, it's nice to see a guy do well.. especially with all the pressure he's been under. Lesser QB's would've been rattles with all the expectations and media attention the guy has gotten. Kudos to him. Kudos to the OC and the QB coach to let him go out there and play ball.
