Well I am really trying to like this draft, I thought Hickey couldn't make me miss Ireland, but I must admit I have not been very impressed. Going in we HAD to have 3 OL and 2 LBs. The OL has been addressed, but all I can figure is they are planning to make Jordan the SOLB and Koa moves to MLB on early downs with Jenkins playing in the middle on passing downs, and Ellerbe moving to the weak side. Could work I guess but it certainly looks as if we would have been a lot better off by staying where we were in the draft rather than moving around and losing so much value.

Would have been a lot happier if we would have been able to pick up Moses instead of Turner. Seems as if we are really trying to pick up slower kids. The WR and CB are both slower than a lot of the player left around them. I can only imagine anyone rating our draft that is not a dolphin fan would have us in the bottom 5 teams. Maybe they will work out but I can't see any drafts experts picking us as a draft winner.

Yes FishFan they are making a commitment to protect Tannehill and improve the running game.

#Dolphins get Georgia TE Arthur Lynch. Good red zone threat at 6'5" and 258. Blocking upside, but needs to add some strength to excel there.

Not you specifically, but a lot of flipfloppers in here who couldn't wait to jettison Fasano. Yet, now many are praising him as Fasano 2.0.
 
I don't get the hate for this pick. Who do we have at TE to play in big boy short yardage / goal line sets right now?

Dion Sims? Okay, even if he's not really a jumbo guy.

There is something to be said about a dude from Georgia whose last name is lynch.
 
Our run game and Tannehill's protection will benefit nicely from this pick. Guarantee he's a better receiving TE than Egnew and obviously a better blocker... Pack your gear Egnew

At this point what Philbin thought about leaders probably mattered little to Ross - I'm sure he gave Philbin & Co. marching orders to clean up the locker room & get leaders on the team.
 
I think on O we need to keep in mind having Benton and Lazor, the picks are with their philosophy in mind and probably their vote in some shape or form. Will be interesting do we carry a load of TEs and WRs in our active day roster.
 
Old Mike Ditka, even at age 74, is a better Tight End than Egnew. We should at least let things play out before we go nutz on any of these draft picks, especially after Ireland's picks the last few years. Lynch looks likes Dave Casper, Ghost to the Post on this highlight:

Because we needed a TE that was actually strong and could block worth a damn.

Not looking good for Skov :lol:
