Miami Dolphins consider QB change

We could start Moore but I don't think it'll matter. Our team is going nowhere. Tanny wasn't the only reason we lost yesterday. The whole team was/is bad.

Rex Ryan is a helluva coach. He makes players better -- mostly on defense. His failing, IMO, is his inability to consistently coach up the offense the way he does his defense. I say consistently because he did take Mark Sanchez to 2 AFC Championship games. The wheels have come off the offense since then.

I would take him as the fins coach in a heartbeat. You know you will get brashness and confidence on the field. You just have to be willing to deal with his bluster.

I think Philbin signs his own pink slip as soon as he benches Tannehill. This is his QB, and if it doesn't work out, he is definitely done.

i cheer for the team first
.i dont care what the players last name is.
fix the team i want a SB

Well is this is true once you go to Moore Philbin CANNOT go back to Tannehill unless of INJ. And he is writing his check.

He will be Benching the Young QB he took. So if this fails or succeeds IMO he would be on his way out.

I don't know about that. I'm not sure what injuries caused what in the game of QB musical chairs that happened at Philadelphia last season but it looks to me like Vick was given the starting job back after Foles struggled then the next game Foles got the job back after Vick struggled. And Foles never looked back.

Well there is some faulty logic there.

Failbin signs his own pink slip by CONTINUING with Tannehill. Its OBVIOUS at this point that the team will not generate enough offense to win more than 8 games with Tannehill. If that happens, Failbin is gone. He has to know that. So moving forward with Tannehill is a guarantee that Philbin is gone.

Benching Tannehill does not guarantee Philbin is fired. What if Moore comes in and gets us to double digit wins? If he starts Moore beginning NOW, he still has a shot to keep his job. If he continues with Tannehill, his job is gone.

In fact, if I were Hickey and Ross, I would fire Failbin TODAY if Failbin told me he wanted to start Tannehill this week.

OOO No I agree he is a helluva coach. Just pointing out that in the NFL he is the annomoly. Coaches typically do not survice a failed QB and a GM Change. And he may actually survive 2 failed QBs and a GM change.

I agree with this. At the end of the day nobody here knows how Philbin feels about Tannehill, NOBODY. If he doesn't believe in him his only choice is to move on.

As a Bills fan you probably remember Rob Johnson. RT is starting to remind me of him. They both look the part of an NFL QB , but are missing some intangibles. Both took/take too many sacks and do not process things fast enough.

Rob Tannehill? Ryan Tanneson? hmmm. johnsonhill? I don't know a good amalgamation but I do know you're dead on about the sacks.

Im watching the Mike Francesa show on Fox Sports right now.

On the side of the screen they have one of those info board things.

It currently just updated and reads..........

REPORTS : TANNEHILL TO BENCH

I am looking now but, all I see online still is the Philbin wont commit report.

Is there a ? after it? LOL

here is the problem about waiting until after the bye week imo.

right now we are 1-2, and although we r not dead, the 1st 4 games were prob the easier part of our sched.

what happens if we win this week and go to 2-2, but tannehill plays shaky again?

i feel they would still not bench him, and then we are looking at tannehill starting the 1st game after the bye vs the packers, the 1st of a stretch of many tough games.

we need to make a decision now. this benching of tannehill is not only due to the 1st 3 games of the season, but going back to the final 2 of last year, and even the other 30 games started in his career excluding the last 5, he has been avg at best.

waiting until after the bye does nothing, grow some balls and make the move now
