Miami Dolphins consider QB change

Well is this is true once you go to Moore Philbin CANNOT go back to Tannehill unless of INJ. And he is writing his check.

He will be Benching the Young QB he took. So if this fails or succeeds IMO he would be on his way out.

I don't agree, I think it has more to do with it points to the fact Tannehill should of sat a year or two behind Moore to start with.

It's sad were hoping matt moore will somehoe save us

but, looking back at preseason, he looked better in this offense then Tannehill.

amazing how throwing ball versus people working at a grocery store will make u look

How bad has Tannehill been? Pretty bad.

Among the league's qualifying quarterbacks, only Locker, Josh McCown and Matt Cassel have posted worse passer ratings than Tannehill's 74.1. Only Locker, Chad Henne and Drew Stanton have a worse completion percentage than Tannehill's 56.5. Despite an improved offensive line, only Henne and Alex Smith have taken more sacks than Tannehill's nine.

Wait, there's more. Tannehill is all by himself in averaging a league-low 5.0 yards per passing attempt.

We need to tank this season and get a good qb in the draft.

As a Dolphin fan there's only thing I've learned:

Considering that David Carr is... *checks Pro Football Reference* ... out of the NFL, that would be a pretty handy feat.

No. Pretty sure he meant David Carr. Pretty sure he's correct...:d-day:

To be clear, we know DAVID Carr is out of the NFL; and his brother DEREK Carr is Quarterbacking the Raiders. The point being, doesn't really matter who's on the other side.

So wait the #3 ranked QB PEr PFF could be benched?Say it ain't so Sammy.

As much as I don't want to say it but we stick it out until after the bye week...
THis way we can install Tannehide at Wr.Matt Jones here we come!

Derek Carr, brother of David. I think that everyone understood that I meant Carr, the rookie QB of the Oakland Raiders. Some have a perverse ego boosting pleasure in pointing out inconsequential errors.

Never has PFF sunk so far in my eyes. Calling Tannehill the 3rd best QB in the league is a reputation destroying joke.

Chill, if you can't take a joke then you shouldn't post here bro

As a Bills fan you probably remember Rob Johnson. RT is starting to remind me of him. They both look the part of an NFL QB , but are missing some intangibles. Both took/take too many sacks and do not process things fast enough.

Very good. I can see the similarities.

The difference is that Rob Johnson played a full career at USC. I attended many games in that era, driving from Las Vegas. Johnson started as a freshman in 1991, including at home against the great Washington Huskie team that split the national title with the Canes. Johnson's flaws were well known exiting college, which is the reason he went in the 4th round despite leading a Rose Bowl victory as a senior and with career numbers of 8+ yards per attempt and better than a 2/1 touchdown/interception ratio.

Somehow Tannehill benefited from not playing, or by playing wide receiver. I'll never understand the mindset that allows that, or prioritizes it. Adjust to the stars.

Tannehill in the 4th round would have been acceptable. That's where Matt Barkley went, another guy who started at USC beginning as a freshman.

I was just trying to make a joke, man. Jeez.

He was number 3 last week. With pff he could easily be considered the leagues best passer this week, we'll just have to wait and see...

:snack:

Even take this back to the Bills game last year.

Tannehill was 10/27 for 82 yards and took 7 sacks.

Matt Moore comes in for an injured Tannehill in the 4th quarter and admittedly goes a very meh . . . 2 for 6 for 53 yards and 2 INTs . . . however he took 0 sacks at a time where the ears were pinned back and Buffalo was coming. During this stretch Matt Moore got off a deep ball to Hartline for 50 yards. He had to force a few things obviously as the game was pretty much over and it resulted in 2 picks but at least the guy was trying to make something happen.

I dunno, he's a better fit for this offense and this personnel at this point and I honestly believe he is the better quarterback as well. I'd make the switch.
