I put a lot of weight on making Jake Delhomme and Kyle Orton quality NFL QBs during the time he was coaching them. Those are practically miracles. Clements might be considered the preeminent QB coach in this league and he's earned it. But McCoy's done good work and I'd love to see what he could do with a QB that wasn't absolute ****. Both QB coaches have gotten the best from bad QBs, but McCoy has never had the chance at better. The best prospects he's had are Tebow and Matt Moore. Give him a Rodgers or Big Ben and I think their careers would be relatively even. But I'm not going to dispute who has accomplished more in their role as QB coach because that's Clements. Not that I agree the difference is all that big.
He didn't do a good job with Orton or Tebow even.
