It doesn't look like it will take cornerback R.W. McQuarters long to find work, either. McQuarters, also released by the Bears this week, is expected to visit the Washington Redskins, who already have Shawn Springs, first-round pick Carlos Rogers and ex-Bear Walt Harris at cornerback. He also could fill punt-returning duties as the Redskins are going to cut ties with Chad Morton and might not want to use wide receiver Santana Moss in that role.

The Miami Dolphins also are believed to have interest in McQuarters.

I really hope that we will be the team to sign him. I am scared that the Redskins will end up signing him.

I personally think he would fit in great here and as of RIGHT NOW, he's a better option than Ty Law (only because he's younger, CHEAPER and not injured...did I mention cheaper?)

I'm not to sure about this RJ character, but I wouldn't mind looking into R.W. McQuarters.

 Yeah, you both beat me to it.. lol.. does he have RWM and R.J. Reynolds mixed up? Anyways, Yeah, I guess R.W. wouldn't be any worse than Mario Edwards at this point..

lol, i was about to bring that up as well
either way, i looked at McQuarters stats, he seems like a good choice
nothing amazing, but solid. And i'm goin with that younger & cheaper that Ty Law comment. And also not injured. Hopefully coach Saban will have a good meeting with him

Given the line-ups and depth charts, he would have a better chance of earning a starting spot with us than with the Redskins. IF that's a motivation for him!?

McQuarters is a solid playmaker. I know, because as an Illinois resident, I have Bears football crammed down my throat. It would be a good pickup for us.

I know we need a replacement for Poole, and though I believe McQuarters is good. I think he will have a hefty price tag. If Saban can somehow make it all work with our Rookie signings, then I am all for it. He would be great opposite side of Madison.
