Miami interested in RJ McQuarters

He can play both corner or safety correct? So we would fill two needs instantly. I say do it, so long as it's not a break the bank type of deal.

I still say we need another DT and we should look hard at LJ shelton.

how much.....that is the question.

McQuarters would be good pickup. He is one tough SOB. He stuffs the run, has a knack for interceptions and is a pretty decent cover guy. If we get him he's the one that will be starting opposite Surtain come game 1. If Saban pulls this off, this officially goes down as the best offseason ever for the franchise.

I don't know if that was a mistake or that you're delusional and refuse to think that we traded Pat.

:woot: This is what I wanted... now I want to leave it up to our coaches to determine if they see if they see anything special in him and if we should pick him up.

If there is one area we dont have to be concerned about its the DBs.As a DB expert you know Saban is going to get the guys he thinks will fit his system. There are concerns at S but I am sure he will adress that area as well before the preseason.

RW is one of the fastest guys I've ever seen on a football...no question!!! He was great at Oklahoma St. and has had a descent career in the NFL. But having him as one of our starting CB scares the HELL out of him. I just don't think that he's that good to be a starting CB but he would make one heck of a PR or KR. I would rather have someone esle starting at CB and use him in the nickel and as a special teams guy. Just my opinion and a valid one because I've seen the guy play for some years now.

i think it would be a great pick up... if not for starting, then for depth. why not?
