Merge if this needs to be in the super thread about Sam.

I think the incident that happened down in Miami with the Dolphins — I don’t know the people involved there, and I’m not really judging them, but when you have a locker room atmosphere like that, when people are verbally being destructive to each other and you call it fun, I think there’s a fine line there,” Pinkel said, via Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post. “I’m not one of the Righteous Brothers here, but we talk to our team all the time about how locker rooms are great in sports, locker rooms are awesome. It’s a great thing about being a member of the team. Guys like to bust each other, go after each other verbally. But there’s a certain point when what you say is hurtful and it doesn’t help the team, it hurts the team.

I call utter bull**** on this one. Especially when Minnesota has a coach that openly mock gays and is now being taken to court over it (or will be).

Good. Keep that nonsense off my team. Only way i want crusader is if he crusades against, violence towards women and children, poverty, hunger, drug war etc...etc..not the new "get popular quick and without actually deserving to be popular" scheme in the country. Yea he's gay, whoopty piss, he aint no hero.

It's a bad fit because he is a situational player that doesn't work into our scheme. Not because he likes guys smashing him!

Gary Pinkel isn't such a great role model either. Maybe he should worry more about his own locker room and whether his kids are in the best situation under questionable leadership.

Missouri football Coach Gary Pinkel was arrested last night on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Pinkel said in a statement issued by the Athletic Department that he was having dinner with friends before the arrest.

If you want to call other people/organizations out, one should make sure your own house is in order. Otherwise its probably best to say nothing IMO.

Yeah we are the whipping boy of the league. Our situation is so terrible because of the whole bullying scandal. How about mentioning the Patriots or the Aaron Hernandez's of the league? Their situation with certain players is worse than ours yet not glorified in a negative light. I'm tired of the Dolphins being stereotyped as detrimental to a players career

He wouldn't get any playing time as it is, who's he beating out?

and....how is the Dolphin's Locker Room not a good situation?, I thought the whole thing was over Martin playing badly and not being able to handle the pressure...

he wouldn't get any snaps...wouldn't be active on game day...miamis got enough issues with the ends playing the run there's no way he'd take shelbys run...only way he'd get any run would be if they moved dion jordan to lb...which isn't happening

this guys ehh anyways...just a new media darling...his teammate ej gaines is more interesting at corner anyways

tackles are gonna sit on that one rush move at the nfl level and wash him out all over the place

He was a low mid round player to start with, a tweener who would be an ok fit as an OLB in a 3-4, but has marginal athletic ability...basically he doesn't a position at the NFL level and lacks freakish intangibles that can allow for development.

The only thing that I can really agree with from the article, which is something Pinkel did not say, is that the situation for a bad locker room atmosphere really hasn't changed a lot since last year for the Dolphins. There needs to be more/better leadership and more/better control than the last two years...and where is this going to come from?
