I think we're a 6-10 team on paper, if sparano loses the locker room, which he may have already, we're down to 4-12. Throw in a catastrophic injury or 2 and we're in the race for Luck.

How exactly is this team 6-10 on paper?

I've posted this in another thread... so merely gonna reiterate

We're an improved team without Henning (replacing him with Paris Hilton would have been an upgrade) that managed to win 7 out of 8 games on the road last season including beating the future SB champions ( I know they had injuries, but with one exception, all those injured remained injured as the Pack ripped through the playoffs to win the big enchilada). A team that's fundamentally bad does not just luck into on road domination! If not for a few larcenous refs who coincidentally hail from P-Burgh, that game wouldn't have been stolen out from under us and we would have ended the season at 8-8.. a .500 team.

We have Odrich back, another year of seasoning for our young CBs, one of the top 3-5 defenders in the division in Wake.... and even in a down, discontented year, Marshall caught 86 passes for +1000 yds... with no Reggie Bush to divert attention away from him. Sanchez showed that you don't need a good QB to win..just one who either minimizes mistakes or can then compensate for them.. and if Daboll can manage Henne like Schotty does Sanchez.. now that Henne has shown some basic elusiveness also, ain't gonna be much difference between the two.

I might be able to see us taking a slight step back based on a combination of clueless coaching decisions and improvements to our opponents, but I can equally envision us taking a step forward. Either way, IMO, predicting a sub-4 win season is as nutso as predicting a +13 win season. JMO.

I'm definitely not a full on homer and can even be pessismisitc at times but there is no way this is a 3-4 win team. The defense alone is gonna help win games. Last two years were 7-9 with bad qb play. At worst this team is 6 wins and that's worst case assuming no catastrophic injuries.

Exactly. Anyone that has this team winning less than 6 games has a bias against the team/organization. The team improved from last yr. Whether this team can win the division or make the playoffs depends on the QB play and the offense. The team overall is a solid one. There are significant unkowns at the QB position to predict the playoffs , but predicting 3-4 wins is just as unrealistic as saying they will only lose 3-4.

That shocks me, I can see why people wouldn't feel too confidnet about Miami but there is a huge difference btw 6-8 wins and 3-4 wins. That's just asinine.

The Jets are taking a step back, I don't think the defense will be as good.
The Bills are way worse than us, I want to say we'll split with them just because we always blow it in BUF, but no reason we can't sweep them.
NE still looks real tough, but we have the D-line to pressure, so it could make a difference if we can get to Brady.
Conservatively, we could easily be .500 in the division.

DEN, WAS, OAK are 3 more wins we can pencil in with somewhat confidence. Again, being conservative we're at 6 wins.

HOU, CLE, SD; at least we get HOU at home this time, and we have to be due against them. CLE? C'mon, that's a win, I don't give a shiat what anyone says, we should have won that game last year. (hang on to an INT!) SD is tough for sure. I don't know, but we usually play well traveling to the west coast. I'm taking 2-3 here. We're at 8 wins.

NYG, KC, DAL; yikes, this is a tough group, I have no idea what can happen with these games. I'm thinking we can probably beat NYG but @KC and @DAL are tough games. 9 wins?

I really don't care at all what they say about our team.. All of ESPN hates the dolphins, so its not surprising.. What I dont like is that people in the league don't respect us as they should. 3 wins Really?!? We all know this is not true, we have the best team we have had in the past 5 years. Let's just I hope this gives our players some extra motivation and start earning us the respect we deserve.

last year we were 7-9 with horrible o line play. no playmaker at rb and a horrible offensive coordinator. This assesment is a joke.
