Mike Wallace

MIKE WALLACE CANNOT CATCH WITH HIS HANDS (PERIOD)

He will not be a "star" anywhere else. He is what he is and unfortunately he's not anywhere near the worth of his contract. I dare any one to show me "highlights" of Mike Wallace extending his arms from his body with his palms facing outward toward the football and snatch it with his hands.

He's a basket catching ball hugging speedster and Wallace is not able to take advantage of the route tree. He can run 0's and 1's (slants, quick/screens) so he can trap the ball against his body his he crosses. He can obviously run 7,8,9's (corner, post, fly) so he can run under the ball and haul in the ol' basket catch. Even then, 7 & 8's are questionable on whether or not he can be aware of the sidelines and shield off defenders. And Wallace can't work anything in the middle of field with any of 3,4,5 & 6 routes (in's, out's and curls). He's a waste considering we paid him top money to be a #1 WR, which he is certainly not.

Not his fault. We are the idiots who paid him like a #1 wideout, all he did was accept the money, like any other player would've. Its the teams fault.

Stop me if you've heard this one:

Rick Spielman and Jeff Ireland walk into a bidding war...

I knew there was a reason why a smart organization like Pittsburgh would just let him walk.

... And have a drink with Randy Mueller.

Well we could trade him and watch him have career year after year!

Wallace's cap number next year is $17,250,000. His remaining signing bonus due will be $8,800,000. So if we cut him we will have a cap savings of $8,450,000. Do the cut after June 1 and I think we can spread that out over 2 years. If he is on the roster the 5th league day of 2014 though, $3 million is guaranteed to him from his 2015 season salary. So his guaranteed money from Miami goes up to $30 million.

We'd get a cap surplus next year and those following by cutting him after this year, but they'll still be paying him $15 million of his next year's salary that is guaranteed to him, for not being on the squad. That's a tough pill to swallow when the guy can also go get a job elsewhere and collect two 2014 paychecks.

My guess is he's here at least one more year for sure.

Haze him......

we payed $60 million dollars for a poor mans ted ginn...unbelievable

Will people please stop with the $60 million number. All he is guaranteed is $27 million. At this rate he won't see a dime more than that.

I won't get on Wallace for that last play last night.....yeah no effort, but a Hail Mary throw very rarely leads to good things and that is exactly what that one was. But, I may be wrong, but the throw that Wallace had beaten his man deep that went out of bounds is the one I am most upset about. To me, the ball wasn't much more than a foot out of bounds and he didn't even try to make a play on it. Like he was disappointed he couldn't run under it and get the glory, before the ball even came down to him. YES, I get that the throw was not good, but #1 WR's make tough catches, or at least give effort and try to turn around and catch THAT ball while keeping feet in bounds. He just gave up (very much like the last throw) when in fact there was an opportunity to make that catch in bounds and instead drifted out of bounds not even aware of where he was along the sidelines.

Mike Wallace has equated to **** all year.

The guy can't get open half the time. Can't catch half the time.

He got his money, and now he's mailed it in.

**** off Mike Wallace.

Dont blame Wallace for Tanny being a crappy QB.

now I absolutely know why him and his dad were so adamant about him going to Miami; THE MONEY! dollar $ dollar $ bill y'all! go to Miami, get their money, don't get hurt, make them cut you, leave with $$$ in pocket and go play with a contender. all inside of 2 seasons. trust.
