Miko Grimes Interview (Talks about player's confidence in coaches / Tannehill)

 at complaining about being unable to beat zone coverage. Hey, when they rush three and drop 8 into coverage, guess what, you are not going to win unless you have time for guys to get open.

When you can't pass protect AND the other team is dropping 8, what do you expect? See: last play of the game.

I'm not sure giving Philbin a pass because of the OL injuries is an excuse. It's also not an excuse that the offense never bails out the defense. The offense was unproductive in the first half yesterday, and the D probably expected more points. The fault of the loss yesterday was 1) OL crappy blocking on run plays and just as bad blocking for the pass, Fox, Pouncey and Dallas Thomas do not belong on a team that is going to win. 2) Philbin with 2nd and short we couldn't convert a first down and had to try a FG that was run back for a TD a 14 pt swing because they couldn't convert 2nd and short while playing for their jobs. That's inexcusable piss poor play calling. 3) The D has no reason to blame anyone but themselves when they couldn't stop even 1 2nd half Pats drive. They were victimized by undrafted RBs against Denver and the Pats and show no sign of hope when it comes to stopping the run or pass.
Technically it's a 10 point swing since it was a FG attempt and not a pick 6 in the end zone for a would be TD.

Basically, she's blaming the offense. The defense, as we all know, is great.

BS...She said we didn't get any pressure on QB. D is hurt, but no excuse. The "next guy up" didn't cut it.

She nailed the D as much as the O. In fact, it was the D she went after first (actually special teams first...)

It should have never come to a FG attempt with 2nd short from the 30. Run the ball 3 straight times and try to get two fricken yards. Now calling the TOs and getting the TD with 11 seconds to play was geneous on the part of Philbin, not challenging a dropped pass is usually what we get from Philbin. More troubling is the false starts from the OL and the lack of dicipline.

So I guess there won't be anymore night out on the town skating dates with the Tannehill's and the Grimes'.

Way to create a divide among Philbin's wonderfully managed team, Miko

True but she moved on quickly and spent much more time on the offense...specifically the QB. And she made the comment that the offense never bails out the defense...as if there are no injuries on offense.

But Marcus Mariota or Jameis Winston will fix all that...or is there another QB in the draft that can throw perfect deep passes on every play, make up for the lack of blocking in pass protection and the run, never throw an interception...even if it's deflected...and avoid all sacks. Am I missing any criteria for the new QB that will magically be available in the draft for us? Who ever he is we have to take him.

Edit: Oops...just saw another criteria for our new QB...must be clutch...must have "it".

I would take RT (and ball control) over that piss poor Defense - we can win with tannehill and 25 pts if we can stop a few crucial drives which we can't evidently

The QB debate is getting old unless we start discussing potential replacements for Ryan Tannehill. But somehow, no one ever talks about these replacements for 2015.

For the people that are saying that the reason why this team is 7-7 right now is because of RT, then who should be the QB of the Miami Dolphins in 2015?

This is a serious question, and I would love to hear the anti-Tannehill crowd name their suggestions: Who would you play at the QB position in 2015 to ensure that we can make the playoffs?

I don't think it's fair of anyone on the team to criticize Tannehill considering mostly everyone on the team has some of the blame for another average season.

I'm about done commenting on anything regarding Ryan. Some people hate him and some people love him but here's my thoughts on what she has to say. For one thing she is married to a defensive player, which would make me believe that a large portion of whoever she "polled" were defensive players as well. Who else are they going to blame? They have a QB right now who can't make everyone forget the problems on their side of the ball. Push it onto someone else who receives a large portion of the credit and blame for the team and pretend your world is just spiffy!

As far as Ryan in general, this whole back and forth BS existing here is old and I've played my share in it just as much as anyone but I'm done. You all want to be so sure in your assessment that's fine. I've had to read your expert assessment so many times that I can remember just about every member that is against him from memory. You all are so content in your position because it's a win-win no matter how you look at it. Ryan blows up and becomes the guy you don't want him to be or don't believe he will be rather, you'll will just say that you couldn't read him and that's why you were so critical. If he doesn't develop you can go around with your nose in the air flashing that I told you so card at anyone with face to shove it into.

Believe me I get it. You would rather roll the dice on someone else and hope for something better. Well after feeling the breeze coming off that revolving door for so many years, is it really that hard to believe that people want to keep Tannehill around? We have next to nothing for the better part of nearly 2 decades and people now crucify others for being happy with someone showing promise.

I came to this forum to get away from the childish nature of how people act on Facebook Dolphin fan pages only to find that this place is just a nicer looking place to act childish. Sad really...

Exactly.

3 POINTS in the last two second halves. THREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Even if the defense was better, we STILL wouldn't even be in the game.

You realize that we have been being smashed in these halves and had to go 1 dimensional and rely on the current pass blocking situation. And when we did attempt to run on 1st and 2nd down we got 3rd and medium and tried running then too? RT needs to be better and will never be Tom Brady but in this league (a league where finding a do all QB is probably about 1 in 500), he would be a great addition to many teams in this league. Lots of issues on this team and some are a hell of a lot easier than becoming elite at the QB spot.
