We drafters in the 20s in 2017.

Mahomes was 10, in a trade with buffalo. Buffalo blew it on Mahomes.

Watson was 12 also a trade.

I don’t see how we blew it on either one. Would have been nice to have either. But, buffalo would not have traded with us.

That one is a stretch for me

Buffalo has traded with everyone in the division before. Either way you trade up in front of Buffalo. You trade up for a QB you think can turn your franchise around.

Grier is clueless.

"And later I reported that Grier, running his third Dolphins draft as general manager, worked to talk Ross off his position. I was told by a league source Grier even told Ross he was picking Fitzpatrick and if the owner wanted to fire him, then he could fire him. "

Ross is 79 years old and I wouldn't be surprised if he's lost patience. He's going to have a lot of people interested in the war chest the team has acquired.

Like I said a long time ago - Ross needs to trust his instincts.

I'm not kidding when I say I believe Ross could draft better than Grier. I think many people on this board could draft better than Grier. I think he gets too caught up in the process and thinking in ideals. I think he can't see the trees for being in the forest. I don't think he's good at weighing this guy vs that guy and making the right decision.

I already bet $100 on it.

Something has been telling me that they play themselves out of Tua and Grier either panics taking the "safe" pick in Herbert instead of a possible elite player like a Jeudy, Epenesa, Delpit, etc or gets fleeced moving from #4 to #1.

Which brings me to a question specifically for you. Is Tua a can't miss QB prospect in your opinion?

Typical of this forum and it's mood swings. Very few posters or fans wanted Lamar Jackson but he has a good game against our weak team and we failed in not drafting him because an unverified article says Ross may have wanted him.

Let's see how he does against real defenses before we assign Ross owner and GM.

It really is sad. Back and forth..Back and forth...really annoying!

I thought this one was the most interesting article in there about Ross, Grier, and QB...

Ross has nobody to blame but himself. But yeah, when the least football knowledgeable owner is making better decisions than the GM, there is a serious problem.
Yeah but if you're Ross and this is the guy you wanted - just watched him annihilate you by 50 points - and bomb the kid to death for TD's the GM told you he was drafting so just go ahead and fire me - it don't look good. Nevermind Rosen and all the other QB gaffes under this guy's watch... Mahomes, Watson, etc.

Fear the Grier. No, really.

Oh please.
Mando is still peeved that Tannehill is gone and we picked up Rosen. That article is worth as much as a piece of toilet paper after I wiped my ass.

Ross was all in on Tannehill until the end of last year. You have the "next Marino" (Ross in 2012) 'take the team to the playoffs' with the QB whisperer and guru Gase at the helm and the following year Tannehill is out with an injury and Ross says: Yeah, get me a new QB.
BS.

They couldn't even get a backup better than Osweiler because nobody wanted to hurt Tannehill's feelings or have a possible QB controversy. Not Ross. Not Grier. Not Tannenbaum. Not Gase.

And if Grier was so wrong and Ross so right why would Ross keep Grier as the GM?

Mando is a piece of **** hack.

MF after last season he just wanted a defined role. he really felt that he needed to train his body for that position not a multi position guy. and this is stuff he said BEFORE we came out and said we were bringing in a staff that wanted to make him a jack of all trades.

pick one and watch the kid succeed. he said he WANTED to commit his body to being great, give him a chance. if we wound up spending a top pick on a slot CB but hes the best damn slot CB in the league, at this point so be it. playing close to the line was where he seemed to succeed anyways. if grier wants to say you're are FS the next 4 years AWESOME. you are our FS and we might randomly play you closer to the line, but not with LB duties.

he's not comfy with what they want to do, sorry staff. make due with the man you have. he;s complained to media, his family, so im sure he's expressed it to his family. maybe pick was a mistake, maybe it wasnt, but the friggin kid has talent, but if mentally he doubts himself then hes ****ed before he steps foot on the field.

I’ll tell you a fun little exercise Ross needs to do - he needs to put all the prospects names into a hat that were available between Miami picks and just randomly draw names out for every pick Miami had.

Do it over and over again and compare it to the picks his GM made. I think he’d be surprised at the outcome.
