Honestly, being an African-American man, I'd start to get ticked if he continuously used that word on my voicemail too. Especially if he continued to threaten to slap my mother and $hit in my mouth. I wouldn't have handled it the same way as Martin but that would make me EXTREMELY uncomfortable.

they were best friends, that sentiment has been echoed by pretty much every player in that locker room. he's going to need alot more then a few N words to have a case. Pouncy and Wallace didnt mind that language why would Martin who apparently was his best friend mind? there better be something of substance in those voice mails

This is a strategy on the side of Martin now, which makes it apparent to me there is no intent to merely report any wrongdoing and help Martin, but to maintain public and media opinion. Players start swaying it one way, time to drop some more voicemails.

Great. How you feel about it doesn't matter to the Dolphins though. What's important is how they acted around each other off the field.

I don't consider myself to be similar to all white people. Some folks are more uppity than me, some are more into being jackasses, some are smarter, some are dumber.

the important part about a voice mail is the context in which it was said,
considering that the N word was not banned from the lockeroom and many other nfl lockerooms, we need to here how he said it.

It's not a real issue anymore .... the basis of the context has been reestablished by the players. They can release all they want now, their case is in disarray.

Hartline's comments about Martin sharing and laughing are devastating.

It's VERY easy to laugh at it, especially if it's the first time it happened and he didn't think much of it. I would've, to be honest. Question is, did the voicemails become progressively worse over time? More threatening in tone? More racist remarks? If so, THEN we have a problem...
