I think definetly QB or S. I think if there is a player like Sean Taylor or Ed Reed available in our spot, and he has value, I would like to see us pick that player. Miami hasn't had a really good S in a long time (I can't even remember one, except maybe Brock Marion, but he wasn't that special). I also think the Leinart could fall, and that would leave us open for that pick. Honestly, there isn't that many teams anymore that need a young QB to develope for the future.

Teams set a QB for the next few years:

AFC East: All but Miami
AFC North: All but the Browns
AFC South: All but Tenn maybe
AFC West: All but the Raiders
NFC East: All of them
NFC North: All but maybe Detroit if Harrington falls flat, and Chicago
NFC South: All but maybe NO
NFC West: All but Arizona

That leaves a max of 8 teams willing to take a QB.

If Feeley performs well:
We pick >15 and will pick up a offensive lineman.

If Feeley doesn't perform well:
We pick <15 and pick up a QB.

It will work out great in the end.

I love discussing the draft even though it is early and a lot can happen between now and then. I voted CB because that could become a high priority depending on how Sam Madison plays and who emerges opposite him. I don't think Madison has much more than 2 maybe 3 years left.

In the best case scenario, Feeley shows he can play and Carey is solid at LT, allowing the Dolphins to continue to build a championship caliber defense. Saban is said to love corners and there look to be some good ones coming out next year so that seems like a strong possibility early in the draft.

I think the team may still be in the best player available mode next year so that really opens it up.

Chicago and NO you can take off that list..but I agree with your others, and even so.. Warner has been proven in the past, McNair is McNair, Collins didnt do too bad, Dilfer is solid, and Detroit has Garcia if Harrington bombs again which should be highly unlikely with those WR's..

We seem to be the only team with no current solution and nothing for the future as well.. Ide have to say we are by far the worst off at the QB pos. in the NFL as far as future and right now goes..

We're in a position at BPA, let the season play out. Charlie Whitehurst is not top 10 pick, and we will not have a top 10 pick. All Fans that think we will are not fans.

It will be the Best avalible player, but I think it will be on the D side. Are there any stud Safties to keep an eye on?

my big board for the fins, if we have a high pick would be:
1. matt lienart qb
2. d'brickashaw ot
3. jimmy williams cb
4. rodrique wright dt
5. omar jacobs qb
6. mathias kiwanke de
7. eric winston ot - if hes back to normal
8. chad greenway lb
9. haloti ngata dt
10. mario williams de
honorable mentions: santonio holmes, derek hagan, marcus mcneil, ahmad brooks

if we have a low pick, id love any of the following:
vince young, martin nance, orien harris, gabe watson, loren landry, darnel bing, devin hestine

i think we take BPA as long as its not a RB or G

either get matt leinhart or reggie mcneal at qb in the first round then a te ol and dl in 2nd,3rd,4th round.

we'll be picking around 8-12 and we'll pick either Jon Scott or Charlie Whitehurst.

I'd love for us to be able to go up and get Leinart, but don't think that will happen.

For Whitehurst to go in round 1, he'd have to put up some tremendous numbers. We're talking "David Klingler running the old run-and-shoot at Houston" numbers.

I think we're going QB, DT or LT. Hard to say which.

That's a pretty good analysis, though I think DT will be a good possibility.

i voted cb for the fact madison is aging, poole may not return the same, howard will be on his way most likely, edwards isnt very good.

daniels and poole our the only cb's on the roster that have a shot at being solid future starters. i could see saban drafting another cb that could hopefully move daniels over to safety. next year our secondary could look like this:
cb-madison and poole
s-jones and daniels
nickel-rookie

I went QB. Whether or not it's Feeleys fault this year...i fear he's gone after a barely above avg. year. I see Saban wanting a guy he can bring along from the start. Hopefully a guy with great work ethic like Chris Leak(although i doubt he declares) or perhaps Omar Jacobs. Well see.

it will either be cornerback or quarterback but saban drafts best player available. So I have no idea

I just hope that Feeley doens't have an average season and Saban decides to not to use a high pick on a qb THEN the next year he goes belly up.
