Most Over rated Players in the NFL?

Mike Vick, that's easy
Richard Seymour
Tedy Bruschi
All of Denver's RBs
Champ Bailey
Jerome Bettis

I think almost all QB's are overrated at some point in their career. Trent Green, David Carr, Joey Harrington, Kyle Boller, Chad Pennington, Marc Bulger, etc.

Vick is overrated. I don't want a running back playing QB, I want someone who can throw the ball at the position.. and that's something he obviously struggles with. IMO, he's the most overrated player in football.

I also happen to believe Priest Holmes is quite overrated. I swear ANYONE could run behind that offensive line in KC and look good doing it. Holmes is a good runner, but he's not a top tier back like he's made out to be.

Who do you guys feel are the most overrated players that are playing the game today........ My list goes

Nate Burelson (thought to be the next "moss")
Fred Smoot
Jake Delhomme
Warren Sapp
Travis Henry
David Carr
Laverneous Coles

and at the number one spot................ MIKE VICK!

I really don't understand all this Mike Vick is overrated stuff. Why is he overrated? Because he doesn't play QB the traditional way? The guy is a difference maker and one of the very few NFL players who can single handedly change the outcome of a game. If the guy played for Miami, I have a feeling it would be a whole different tune.

Have you been around this place after a Frerotte overthrow? Just imagine Frerotte's inaccuracy while we're paying him some ridiculous contract that's eating up loads of cap space. That's Vick in a Dolphins uniform, a disaster.

Plus we already have 2 good RB's why would we want a 3rd.. there wouldn't be enough carries to go around. And I hope you don't believe that Chambers would be able to flourish with Vick throwing him the ball. Atlanta is like a wasteland for wideouts. Crumplers really Vick's only target.

There is a HUGE difference between Frerotte and Vick. Vick can make up for his lack of passing skills by running. Gus can't. Vick is young, learning and improving. Gus is not.

When did I say Chambers would flourish with Vick throwing thim the ball? In fact when did I say anything good about Vick's passing ability?

The comparison between Frerotte and Vick is strictly limited to passing. YOU are the one who brought up the hypothetical situation of Vick being in Miami, and I simply pointed out that things wouldn't be completely different. Chambers still wouldn't have flourished with Vick. Also, Frerotte's biggest knock, his accuracy, happens to be one of Vick's prominent weaknesses too.

Hell, Frerotte makes BETTER decisions than Vick does in the pocket. And Vick runs way too much for his own good, sooner or later, he's going to get hurt.

Charles Woodson, Ray Lewis, Jonathan Ogden, Michael Lewis (PHI), Lavaranues Coles, Kendrell Bell, Tedy Bruschi, just to name a few.

The opinion of Miami fans would be different if he played for the Dolphins. How many Falcon fans do think believe Vick is overrated. I did not say his style of play would be any different. Only the perspective of the fans.

You're the one who brought up Frerotte and Chambers, not me.

Chris Chambers is not hyped by the media at all... only hyped on this board.

Most overrated player, Ben Roethlisberger

It's funny that all these "overrated" players would be an upgrade to the Dolphins.

..yea the guys lost what 1 game in his pro career? Has an unbelievably high Qb rating. Never makes big mistakes. Can make every throw and plays clutch when his team needs to extend drives or score points. Hes got size, arm and does every single thing his team needs him to do. If the Steelers were a passing team BigBen would rackup huge numbers. There is no way this guy is overrated. Hes one of the best young Qbs in the league, easily.
