And mine weren't because you don't agree with them??

Mine are backed by fact, and can't really be refuted.

If you actually said anything worth reading I'd be more than happy to give you credit. :)

I am so sick and tired fo people riding Feeley's jock. IF MINICAMP DOESN'T MATTER..WHY HAVE IT!?!? Feeley has looked like nothing better than a 2nd string QB at the highest level of his performance since coming to Miami. Every fan around the NFL except for a portion of Dolphin fans, agrees that Feeley IS NOT the answer and can't get it done. Now...add to all this the fact he looks absolutely horrendous this weekend again...and it isn't too hard to realize the lickely scenario that is going to play out with him! The guy is 28 yrs old, is physically large enough to play the position, and has been in the NFL for like 4-5 years now....it's clear by now he just isn't going to be a QB that starts and excels! People who do nothing but make excuses and keep saying: "It's only minicamp", or "Lets wait till the pads get on" or "give him some type to adapt to the new offense"..are just those who do not want to accept the truth. It's the same dang thing the Fiedler supporters did for his first 3 years here (which consequently wasted a lot of our time).

Mark my words, sticky this post if you want...but Gus Frerotte is going to be Miami's starting QB this year.
Oh yeah....chock full of facts. :lol:

I will at least give him a couple of games into the preseason. Sometimes guys just take longer to get in a rhythem than others, not to mention Gus' familiar with the offense. But, if A.J. doesn't have it clicking by the 2nd preseason game.. then i'd start Gus in the last two and get him ready to be the starter coming opening day. And then, A.J.'s days in Miami are over. If he doesn't have it by then and still looks rushed and unsure of himself, he'll never have it.

Well, according to some in this thread, a mini-camp in JUNE didn't go perfect.
Oh well, I guess it's time fold-up shop at look forward to next year's draft and the 2006 season. :shakeno:

Well said, I agree completely.

Because it was a passive agressive post toward those who dislike Feeley.

And inFins, if I am so lost in my recollections, please provide me some facts and past players in the NFL that would refute any of the points I made and would prove I am way off base in what I am implying. Considering the number of players who have gone through the NFL over just the past 10 years...you'd probably have to provide at least 10-20 of them to even be close to a significant relationship to refute my hypothesis based on Feeley and his circumstances.

-Other fans, sportscasters, coaches, etc. dont' think our QBs are anything, even Saban hasn't said anything showing an outright feeling of content: Fact
-Feeley has been in the league past the average tiemframe for a player and still struggles: Fact
-Same excuses are made now for Feeley that were made last year at this time: Fact
-5 years of Fiedler consisted of what seemed a constant split between Dolphin fans as to whether he was capable: Fact

...course lets forget that Bedards blog said AJ loked better yesterday than Gus, but hey why waste time on such trivial things as that..

This was never said by Bedard. He said that all the QB's looked poor on Saturday, and Frerotte looked especially better on Sunday than the other QB's. Get is straight.

Actually, here's the precise quote, copied and pasted:

All the QBs played much better, especially Gus Frerotte

I'm confused by the seeming contradiction and asked him in the comments section to clarify.

Here is what Bedard wrote about the QB's on...

Friday:

The quarterbacks looked OK. High winds made it tough to throw;
Most of the team portion was played in a downpour mixed with strong winds. Not exactly the kind of weather QBs like - and it showed;

Gus Frerotte struggled in the elements, throwing a bad pick to Reggie Howard. A.J. Feeley showed nice touch but he still has problems when the play breaks down. He tries too hard to make something out of nothing. Sage Rosenfels really struggled;

Saturday:
That being said, the team (read: offense) was horrible in 7-on-7 and even worse in the two-minute drill -- and Saban admitted as much. The ball should rarely hit the ground in a professional 7-on-7 drill, and it was constantly on the ground. Normally I wouldn't be that alarmed about it, but I thought the same thing last year at this time (new QB in AJ and a new OC)...and look how that turned out. Maybe Feeley and Frerotte and Sage just aren't that accurate. We shall see;

Gus Frerotte was picked off by Derrick Pope and Sam Madison (twice, the latter on a horribly underthrown ball in the two-minute drill. Feeley was picked at least once on a leaping play by Taylor after a Tebucky Jones tip;

- The quarterbacks started off much like they ended the morning practice -- poorly -- but came on late. This was Gus Frerotte's line in the no-huddle drill with the first team: bad pass, run, pass deflected, pass out of bounds, fumble from center, screen to Sammy Morris. A.J. Feeley (second team): incomplete, David Boston drop, run, run, completion to Kendall Newson, incomplete.

- Of course Sage Rosenfels, on his first play, came up and hit Josh Davis on a deep fly route over the top of Alphonso Roundtree for about 40 yards, which drew the loudest cheers from the 300 in attendance. Sage did the exact same thing like 10 times last training camp. When people are in the stands, Sage steps up and connects on a bomb. It's uncanny. Now, if he could do that in the games...

- Frerotte and Feeley were much better in the two-minute drill at the end of practice. Feeley led the first team into field goal position, but Olindo Mare missed a long field goal into the wind. Frerotte produced a field goal. What was kind of cool was that offensive coordinator Scott Linehan was radio-ing the plays to the QBs' headsets. Don't know if that's done all the time or not, but it seemed strange for a minicamp;

- Let me say this: I would not read too much into who's doing what at QB right now. Everybody's new in this: the coaches, the players, the playbook, everybody. And the weather stinks. Don't start panicking until training camp hits;

Sunday:

- All the QBs played much better, especially Gus Frerotte. He hooked up with Maurice Mann on back-to-back long passes.That got the about 500 in attendance hollering. Later, Chris Chambers made a great leaping catch. The throw was good too;

- A.J. ran a nice two-minute drill but was bailed out on fourth down when he threw an interception to Reggie Howard.

It was a post that indicated, that I'd sure like to hear some of his other views because his very first post ever smacks of obvious bias and too much emotion. Much like your posts do.

I don't need to dispute any of your points, they're your opinion and you're entitled to think what you want. Doesn't make you right. You MAY be right but, you could also still be very wrong. Neither one of us is in any position to prove anything. I said I'd give AJ this entire season to be what he needs to be or get the hell outta the way and I'm sticking to that no matter how many over emotional posters sign up to bag on Feeley after watching one practice.I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet, does that bother you so much?

Now, let's tackle your "facts"

1) Saban hasn't come out and given anybody the starting job has he? No, that's a fact. You're going to have to show me a quote where Saban says he's not comfortable with AJ Feeley, until you can do that, then Saban's lack of confidence is simply you projecting your own bias onto ambiguous comments.

2) Feeley has been in the league for going on 4 years true, how many games has he started? Not ONE FULL season. Fact. How many games did he start in college. Wasn't it 8? So in the last 5 years Feeley has started somewhere around 23-24 games in pro and college combined. Why didn't he start in Philly? Hmmm, maybe it was because McNabb is Philly's starter and last I heard, he was pretty good? What's the first thing Jim Bates did when he took over? He sat Jay because he was smart enought to understand that the best thing for the future of AJ Feeley was to get him on the field as much as possible. Because no matter how long he's been in the league, and how much you want to twist his tenure to fit your arguement, he is still a very inexpereinced QB.

3) What's your point? Isn't he learning a new offense, just like last year?

4) What does 5 years of Feidler have to do with this??? Nothing, that's what. Wannstedt fell in love with Jay, Do you think Saban is the type that's going to do that with any player, much less AJ Feeley?

Any other "facts" you want me to address?

So AJ had a bad day huh? Funny, sometimes that does happen..

Well, unfortunately, he had a bad couple of days. But he's still learning the offense and hopefully it will click for him. He'll have a few weeks off to study.

That's what i'm going to be looking at Tee. He has a few weeks to study and watch the film of these practices. This is where it clicks or not. If he can study the tapes and then come back out in TC and correct them, that will say alot. Like I said, I give him until the second preseason game. (Not including the HOF game). That way, he can study the playbook and film as well as get reps at TC. Then, come the 2nd preseason game if we don't see progress, then I really don't think we will.
