Because it was a passive agressive post toward those who dislike Feeley.
And inFins, if I am so lost in my recollections, please provide me some facts and past players in the NFL that would refute any of the points I made and would prove I am way off base in what I am implying. Considering the number of players who have gone through the NFL over just the past 10 years...you'd probably have to provide at least 10-20 of them to even be close to a significant relationship to refute my hypothesis based on Feeley and his circumstances.
-Other fans, sportscasters, coaches, etc. dont' think our QBs are anything, even Saban hasn't said anything showing an outright feeling of content: Fact
-Feeley has been in the league past the average tiemframe for a player and still struggles: Fact
-Same excuses are made now for Feeley that were made last year at this time: Fact
-5 years of Fiedler consisted of what seemed a constant split between Dolphin fans as to whether he was capable: Fact
It was a post that indicated, that I'd sure like to hear some of his other views because his very first post ever smacks of obvious bias and too much emotion. Much like your posts do.
I don't need to dispute any of your points, they're your opinion and you're entitled to think what you want. Doesn't make you right. You MAY be right but, you could also still be very wrong. Neither one of us is in any position to prove anything. I said I'd give AJ this entire season to be what he needs to be or get the hell outta the way and I'm sticking to that no matter how many over emotional posters sign up to bag on Feeley after watching one practice.I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet, does that bother you so much?
Now, let's tackle your "facts"
1) Saban hasn't come out and given anybody the starting job has he? No, that's a fact. You're going to have to show me a quote where Saban says he's not comfortable with AJ Feeley, until you can do that, then Saban's lack of confidence is simply you projecting your own bias onto ambiguous comments.
2) Feeley has been in the league for going on 4 years true, how many games has he started? Not ONE FULL season. Fact. How many games did he start in college. Wasn't it 8? So in the last 5 years Feeley has started somewhere around 23-24 games in pro and college combined. Why didn't he start in Philly? Hmmm, maybe it was because McNabb is Philly's starter and last I heard, he was pretty good? What's the first thing Jim Bates did when he took over? He sat Jay because he was smart enought to understand that the best thing for the future of AJ Feeley was to get him on the field as much as possible. Because no matter how long he's been in the league, and how much you want to twist his tenure to fit your arguement, he is still a very inexpereinced QB.
3) What's your point? Isn't he learning a new offense, just like last year?
4) What does 5 years of Feidler have to do with this??? Nothing, that's what. Wannstedt fell in love with Jay, Do you think Saban is the type that's going to do that with any player, much less AJ Feeley?
Any other "facts" you want me to address?
