My WR depth chart..and why...

the top 4 imo are obvious. what i would like to know is who might be a surprised keeper between guys like maurice man and josh davis or even danny farmer

What are the top 4 that you see? If it's Chambers, Booker, Thompson and Boston... then where do you see Welker and Gilmore falling into place. We have a good number of WR's on the roster right now.

Boston is injury prone. Chambers has a history of getting dinged here and there. Miami will carry 5 WR's and Thompson is going nowhere.

He may not play much, but he is here.

well i agree that Thompson wont be cut, i dont see why you metioned Chambers getting hurt and not mention Booker who has not been able to stay healthy lately. i see DT being a 4/5 for now.

chambers
booker
boston
gilmore

gilmore's speed makes him the #4 imo. welker will probably make it as the kick returner and we will keep 1 more guy between thompson, newsome, mann, davis etc....

So you think we may keep 6 then? I am hoping we do. Do you think the 6th will be on the practice squad or active roster? If Welker takes the 5th spot like he will on the active roster as the KR. Then how do we justify keeping Thompson on the practice squad? Thompson in the senerio you state will be trade bait, but who do you think would ante up?

..Philly needs a WR and some insurance at RB...Package deal??

Possibly, but what would we ask for? We're not going to trade anyone but a scrub at RB, I wouldn't think. So, are we looking at a 6th for Thompson and an unnamed back? I don't think that would be fair to us, but I don't see us getting too much more, really.

Maybe, time will tell. I Just think if he is our #5 WR then one injury and we might be in trouble.

You could try and sneak him by as a #5 WR to save a roster spot, but we better pray no other WR's go down because once we cut Thompson he will get work somewhere else and we would be scrambling for another WR.
Very true. My ultimate wish is to keep 6 WRs, but I just don't see that happening.

Now what? Im not being negative? Im not bashing anyone's opinion. I am pointing out I think they will carry all of these WR's. Jesus Christ., where is the dark cloud?????????? Most people agreed, I didn't. And I never ripped the guy, I said he was right but I think Thompson won't be cut.:shakeno: :shakeno:

I just presented an opinon. Get over yourself. :shakeno:
Jesus Christ rocks!!:rocker:

Nublar7, how far am I off on the trade that Dboston80 suggested? I am not very good at trade values.

Edit: As you know, I want to keep 6 WR's as well. That possition on paper looks great, but there are some serious injury concerns there.

..oddly enough DT would fit in nice with Philly IMO..maybe him and Minor for a 5th??

That's in interesting proposal. Not sure they need a back like Minor though. Don't they have Correll Buckhalter as thier change of pace back? I don't recall his play style as I have never found an interest in following the Eagles. SO you may be on to something.

Edit: I may have gotten that backwards. I haven't looked at the Eagles running backs in a while. It may be Brian Westbrook who is the 'SCAT' back. I thought they had a bruising back last year that they lost. My mind is just not picking up on who it was. Perhaps it was Buckhalter but, I don't believe it was.

EDIT2: That's right, I forgot Staley went to the steelers last yer. If anything I would think they would be looking for that everydown RB now. Minor could not take that role.

My WR depth chart goes as follows...

1. Chamber's-I dont care about his numbers..he's the biggest threat on the team.

2.Booker-I was impressed by Booker Monday..I was there and he runs routes very well..(showed some excitment also)..he's a modern day Mcduffie.

3.Boston-Everyone know's how I feel about his talent..If healthy he will be a force.

4.Gilmore-Very impressive a great fit for the #4

...Guy's I like DT..but his welcome is running out with me, If he had not made that game winning catch vs. the Pat's..he may have been done in the offseason...sorry DT ..but gilmore is a better ST'er and were not cuttin Wes.....you may be the odd man out.

I agree, i don't understand how he could be so unconsistant.

1) he isn't right.

2) in this thread I agreed Thompson sucks, I just said he probably won't be cut because you can't count on Boston to stay healthy and Welker is nothing more than a kick returner.

3) I wasn't being "negative" at all in this thread :shakeno:

Now you're starting up with me? ;)

I wasn't trying to suggest he was right or that you were being negative. I was just defending you on very general grounds because I figured it would make the point that needed to be made more quickly that way.

Minor and Thompson to Philly for a 5th? I'd do that in a heartbeat. :)

I doubt Philly would go for it though.
