Chapman is a bowling ball. 5'8" 247. Wow. I imagine he can pound some LBs.

he reminds me a bit of natrone means

edit: "Refried Means"

Chatman had 65 carries for 392 yards last season and 3 touchdowns. That's 6.0 yards per pop.

wow, just a hunch, but based on the personell we have traded for I'm getting the feeling Linehan's "verticle offense" will have a lot of 2 TE 2RB sets w/ Boston or Thompson in to help run block.

To me this shows that just because Gus is named the starter doesn't at all mean that Saban has confidence in him.

I wouldn't be surprised to see 2,500 yards rushing this season and I bet our week 10 starting QB isn't even on the roster right now.

I saw him play a little last year and the guy is a beast. This is a fantastic pickup. We will definitely deal gordon or morris.

I think he was the victim of a horrendous helmet to helmet hit from John Lynch

Lynch should have been suspended for that one

Chatam's helmet came off and he was unconscious before he hit the ground

I can see you're point. although I think it'll be the TE's/FB staying in almost exclusively with 2wr or 1WR/1TE going out for most downs other than long yardage. It's possible.....not as likely as I don't think they'll totally change what they want to do this late in the game....but possible.

As for Thompson....I think he's a goner. Strangely, i think that if Boston wasn't signed to such a low contract...he'd be gone also. still might?

Chatman does well on kick returns as well. This could spell the end for Minor and Gordon after Ricky comes back...

kick returns at 250 pounds?

the linebacker from Virginia does the same thing at 255. Or does he play for West Virginia..or is it Virginia Tech? No matter a linebacker returning punts and kickoffs! shocking.

Memo to Lamar Gordon: Nah nah nah; nah, nah nah nah; nah, say hey hey....GOOD BYE!

Dude Chatman was awesome last year. Why in the world did the Chargers get rid of him?!?! I know they really like that super fast guy they have now Michael Turner (he was awesome for me on Madden 2005 too lol) but still man Chatman was really good. That is weird.

Then again this is the team that released Wes Welker so I mean, either they've got a bevy of talent or they aren't interested in keeping talented skill position backups with return abilities.

Yeah he returned four kicks last year for 89 yards. His long was 35. That is an average of over 20 yards per return. Not too bad. More than likely, he is used as a blocker on special teams, but he can return kicks and that is exactly what Minor does. So, my point was this could cost Minor his job.

Unless, he is going to be used as an H-back like Klenisasser up in Minnesota, but I don't think Chatman is much of a receiving threat.

The funny part is he backed up LT, and now comes to a team whose starting tailback is often compared to LT. Oh well, it beats not having a job at all.

Was he the mystery #35? If so, then there goes my guess at thinking it had to be a DB.

I think they also have Darren Sproles who they picked up in the draft. I guess Chatman was squeezed by the numbers game.
