News on Brown signing... Brayon close?

If Ronnie and his agent did indeed reject the 21million offer then the Phins need to pull everything off the table. After a week or so, send them an offer that is equal to 80% of the average of the deals that the top 5 running backs in the league signed. Thats more than fair. Every day they dont sign drop the offer by 1%. This "follow the leader" crap makes about as much sense as t*ts on a boar hog. Its time someone challenged the system.

My feelings exactly, let him sweat it out now, instead of the Fins.......Greedy, to say the least....I'm really disappointed with this turn of events.......

I don't care about the league as a whole....the league will eventually take care of itself.

How do you think a move like this would affect future draft picks or future free agents who may be thinking fo playing in Miami one day?

As long as you pay your PROVEN guys what they are worth then I don't think there would be a problem with attracting free agents. Might even help if the Dolphins can offer more money to the vets because they are saving money on the rookies.

As for Draft picks.... allowing Ronnie to go back into the draft pool would only strengthen the Dolphins position. It would prove that they cant be bullied and if someone isnt willing to be reasonable then the phins have no qualms about letting that person sit out a year. Most picks are not going to want to do this because its unlikely they would be drafted as high after sitting out a year and maybe being labeled as difficult to work with. The resulting drop in draft position would likely cost them more money than just accepting the Phins modest offer would.

At least thats my opinion.

If they turned that amount of $ then I say F'em. We have a franchise to worry about here, not just one freaking player.

me too, $21 million is more than a 15% increase on what gallery got last year, and that is what smith got and supposedly where the market is set. after all the good things that have been said about him, this is looking very primadonna-ish to me. he needs to get his arse in camp pronto, this is getting ridiculous.

France will be hated almost more than Rosenhaus after this. And Ronnie is fast wearing out his welcome. As excited as everyone was to get him, and as angry as everyone was at Ricky; I see the tides beginning to turn with Ricky actually being in camp and working hard and Ronnie still with the BULLS@@@. As for representing the #2 and #3, he is getting his pay day anyway and Ronnie can be the bigger man and say that's enough money up front, give me the rest in possible incentives and get me in camp with my teammates. There has to be a bad Karma in the locker room over this. Especially if this recent news is true. Once again, he is an unproven Rookie, never played in the NFL and about to make more in guaranteed money than some veterans make in 2-4 years!!!. And he is holding out for more. Spiting his teammates and allowing an old teammate to show him up. Piss poor.:yell:

Yeah right, and when this is over and Brown runs for 145 yards rushing and 50 yds passing against the Broncos, everyone will forget all about the holdout, the money, the bullsh!t and France as well...

This crap is just posturing...hang in there, it'll get done and we'll move on...

Remember, back in March people were saying that there was NO WAY RW would ever be accepted back and he had burned all his bridges and now he is the second (well, in his case, the third) coming...

uhmmm, yeah.....sorry but unless there is divine intervention Ronnie isn't getting that much of the load in the first few weeks with this holdout.

21 million would be a 15% increase over last year, and thats what they said they wanted all along

It sure would be nice to know what the real hold up was.... and then for it to be worked out. No one really knows what the sticking point is, currently, unless you are part of the negotiations, that is.

Whatever has been reported, as being the hold up, can't really be taken seriously. So there's no reason to go jumping off the deep end because someone says that they heard something or read something from a "league source".
