News on Brown signing... Brayon close?

France will be hated almost more than Rosenhaus after this. And Ronnie is fast wearing out his welcome. As excited as everyone was to get him, and as angry as everyone was at Ricky; I see the tides beginning to turn with Ricky actually being in camp and working hard and Ronnie still with the BULLS@@@. As for representing the #2 and #3, he is getting his pay day anyway and Ronnie can be the bigger man and say that's enough money up front, give me the rest in possible incentives and get me in camp with my teammates. There has to be a bad Karma in the locker room over this. Especially if this recent news is true. Once again, he is an unproven Rookie, never played in the NFL and about to make more in guaranteed money than some veterans make in 2-4 years!!!. And he is holding out for more. Spiting his teammates and allowing an old teammate to show him up. Piss poor.:yell:

One thing is for sure, no proffesional football player is going to hold it against another player for getting everything they can possibly get because in the end, "the more you get means the more I get" in the NFL.

Can you believe France told Ronnies mom that they were close...:shakeno:

Uhhhhhhhhh Boy.....this isn't very promising info.

If what we are reading is true, I have a small feeling Ronnie Brown might not be a Dolphin for awhile. And even after that this whole season for him will be nothing more than a learning freebie.

Interesting numbers shell game going on here. I can't help but think Braylon's signing would speed the process, one way or another. That may cost the Dolphins, as a high $ contract for Braylon would more clearly establish Ronnie's market value and further validate his salary demands.

We, as fin fans, aren't used to this kind of stuff because we haven't had a high draft (top 5 ) in years. Other teams go through this yearly because they are perpetual losers. Its not anyone's fault really, its sort of part of the process, and unfortunately Ronnie has a rookie agent that doesn't want to lose face in this deal. In a month, we'll all forget about this when he is tearing it up...

I agree. Not only a high pick; but a skill position player at that. Add in the fact that our TC started earlier than everyone else's and it probably seems worse than it really is. Surely it will get done

Anyone know what Gallery got last year at 2?

7 years, $60 million....$18.3 million in guaranteed money.

Just because Caddy signed already, he's a better football player?

No shot.

He's better then Ronnie at signing paper. Hopefully he's not as good at running.

If Ronnie and his agent did indeed reject the 21million offer then the Phins need to pull everything off the table. After a week or so, send them an offer that is equal to 80% of the average of the deals that the top 5 running backs in the league signed. Thats more than fair. Every day they dont sign drop the offer by 1%. This "follow the leader" crap makes about as much sense as t*ts on a boar hog. Its time someone challenged the system.

If Braylon signs first that 21 million will look small compared to what France will want then.

They need to offer 22 and get it done now.

I disagree. The insanity has to stop somewhere. If 1st round pick's salaries continue to increase at their current rate, and the salary cap continues to increase at its current rate then the guaranteed money alone in these contracts will eventually exceed a teams entire cap.

I say let the insanity stop with Ronnie Brown and Todd France. Offer them close to what a top RB in the NFL makes. There is nothing in Ronnies resume that could lead you to believe that he is going to be the best tailback the world has ever seen. He will be good...no doubt. But is he going to be better than James, or Faulk, or even Alexander? Maybe, but he hasnt proven it yet. Offer him close (80% or so) to what a proven top 5 running back gets. If he doesnt want it then let him sit and next year he can see how much his holdout hurt his value.
