As much as I'd like to see this happen, I really find it hard to believe. First of all, Moss is all Minnesota has for WR's. Secondly, we have no one to offer in trade (including draft picks) that would replace Moss. It would be suicide for them to trade him now. Not to mention, I can't see us affording his 60M+ contract and staying under the cap.

But hey, if Wayne can pull it off, all the better.

no you dont save 10 mil getting rid of sam + ogun, you save about 3.5. Madison still has garaunteed money coming to him, about 5 million or so, which would be an immediate cap hit if he left. so 1.8 for ogun and 1.5-2 mil for madison....

I'm sorry, but Madison is a non-issue. If they really want him, they'll pull him out of the FA after we dump him. The real deal is O-gun and a first or chambers?

I would go O-gun and the first for moss. You will NOT find a WR this year at the 20 pick that iwll be a Randy Moss. He's a proven commodity, and WELL WORTH 2 firsts and a third, considering that we'll probably end up with seattle's low pick, as it looks now. Two low firsts for Randy frickin moss?

or Chambers in there....look, I like chambers, but what will be different about this if we throw him in the deal instead of the first?

We'll STILL have a first round pick for a strong #2 receiver
We'll have GREATLY upgraded the receiver position, by getting the best receiver in the game
And we'll have fooled Minnesota into giving us Moss by giving them an old DB that's going to be cut anyway.

IF this ever goes through, I don't see it going for less than O-gun, Chambers, Madison, AND a first. Too much? I think so, but if we could get by with chambers, o-gun, and madison we'd have hosed them GOOD. or O-gun, Madison, and the #1 pick for that matter.
