Sure it does, when Jay didn't play you lost more than you won and when jay did play you won alot more than you lost.

So jay plays on defense then

:french: you admit Ray sucked like 12 (or more) turnovers in 4 games yet you still use his injury time as reason he(Jay) was OK. im done :hitself:

On a number of occassions folks around heer have told me how great your D and Ricky were and that anyone could win w/ them yet when Jay goes down and you stop winning it's b/c Ray sucked. You can't have it both ways, last year we missed Chad for 32 games and won 2 of 3 w/ Quincy Carter. If your team is good enough you can overcome injuries, what happened in '02 just shows that Jay was more important than you guys are willing to admit. Just to be clear I never said he was great, I never said he was above average but he was decent and was the QB for alot of wins for you guys cominf into an almsot impossible situation. Give the guy a little credit.

That isn't both ways, that is one way. Bascially Miami had a team that won inspite of Fiedler. Then a player that came in that was worse and the team couldn't over come it. What happened on '02 shows how crappy Lucas was that he couldn't even not lose.

If the season was 8 games Fiedler would be a decent quarterback. He was good enough to only single handedly lose two games for your team, however he will make some really good plays during other two games that makes you think he is a good quarterback. The other 4 games he plays well enough and if you have a good team you will win. Then he will get hurt.

That absolutely is both ways, you guys make it seem like you had this great team and jay brought you down when in fact your win % was MUCH higher when he was behind C. Again, Lucas was 6-3 as a starter in 1999 for the Jets so obviously if he has enough talent around him he can win.

That is one way. I watched Lucas in 1999. Miami didn't have that Lucas.

exactly. Lucas was better under a different coaching staff which in turn could mean that Fielder could be decent under a different coach.

Griese too looked horrible under Wanny ;)

Yes they did but we did a better job not exposing him.

If Wanny can suck the talent out of a quarterback I would agree

no, they didn't. Unless exposing him is having him hand the ball off.

The dolphins were 2-4 w/ him(though he didn't finish the 2nd buf game as they rushed Jay back) and in 2 of the 3 losses he finished he threw 33 times against buf and and 39 times against GB. That's alot of pass attempts for Ray plus ray was made to look like an NFL QB b/c of Key, Chambers did not step up like Key did for Ray in '99.

How many games did Miami win when Fiedler had to throw the ball over 30 times.

You are giving Fiedler WAY too much credit. Saying he was better than Lucas is saying nothing.

I;'m not sure what this has to do w/ Lucas? The point is Lucas threw the ball too much and was exposed.

Well there you go. Lucas was worse than Fiedler. Which shows how crappy Lucas was since he was worse than a bad quarterback.

Josh McCown is better then Jim Navarre, so is now McCown a good quarterback?

Ray wasn't the reason we won and I was laughing when you guys signed him.

.......................and you wonder at all how we feel about Jay?

weve had a top tier Defense for quite some time and since you jets homers go and pick up Keebler you all the sudden feel hes the reason we won any games? he couldnt throw the ball to Orande Gadsden....the man with monster hands come on thats just sad. In marino's final year he loved gadsden but Fiedler made the guy work way to hard for wide open catches.

anyways, Im not claiming Jay cant beat miami, however I sure as hell like my odds in that situation and you shouldnt think Jay will automatically play efficient in the jets system, first of all the guy is one of the worst zone passers in the league. he would actually be looking in the direction of a open reciever and look away really quickly and throw into coverage. now i assumed this was his mechanism for keeping defenders from watching his eyes but come on, it was obvious the guy isnt very good reacting to plays when the pocket is collapsing, now if he can slip around the initial tacklers that is where Jay is at his best, I did like his ability to throw somwhat accuratly on the move.

now if you want to really get into the jay vs miami subject, well Id just say one name. Jason freaking Taylor. Yes him. This could be a sick year for Jason and against somone like Jay fiedler....well no need to speculate any further.
