NFL Draft Day 2 best available

I would bet we draft the best available corner with our second round pick and then hopefully the best available offensive lineman with our 3rd round pick, although double dipping on another Dtackle with that pick is also possible.
There is a MASSIVE drop off between the day 2 and day 3 OL. Absolutely cannot leave OL to pick 98 and hope we will get lucky enough to find a starter. If you look at most big boards the best OT/OG are all inside the top 100 and then there is a huge gap of 40-50 spots until the next OL. If we had our own 3rd round pick still I’d say you could plausibly go CB at 48 and still land a starting OL.

If there is an elite player at another position of need available at 48 I dont want to reach for an OL just for the sake of addressing the position.

There will be good IOL available at 98. Thats not considered a premium position and players will slide.

I’m probably going bpa at secondary with the way the board is set up unless Tua’s cousin is available. Trading up in the 3rd for a guard. I know people don’t want to give up picks but think 48 is rich for any of the guards besides Tua’s cousin.

Watts makes sense, he's a Notre Damer like coach Weaver and plays a position Miami needs help at.

Amos is my dream pick in round two, but unfortunately I'm not sure he'll drop to #48.

Alfred Collins is a guy Miami had in for a visit to team headquarters and appears to be someone they like. I'd not be opposed to double dipping at DT. Collins is known for his abilities against the run, and is considered to be amongst the best in this draft class at stopping the run. I'm just not sure Miami would double dip so soon. Although a Collins/Grant would be unbelievably hard to run against.

Porter is a kid who blew up the combine. Question is, can he be an early contributor?
